Looking across the boards I hadn't seen these, and am not 100% sure if anyone else has been looking for similar variant rules to add into FG.
Basically, I'm looking for the variants of vitality/wound points, and having the armor classes deflect damage in a different way. The vitality option is seen here: https://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/adventuring/vitalityAndWoundPoints.htm#vitalityPoints
while the armor variant that is more realistic is seen here (as a form of damage reduction):
