Version 2.0 Any ETA?

I am asking because I just got the software. We will start Playing in January and I was going to do some customizations (XML) but if the new version will be released I don't want to have to repeat the work.

Any guidance would be great.

ALso anyone know where I could get a ruleset for AD&D 1E? It would save me time to get the base and then add our house rules to it.

Will old homemade stuff such as rulesets, sheets etc. be able to use with the 2.0 version?

Sadly... No they won't, not easily anyway. But there HAS been talk of a converter that may or may not materialize once FG 2.0 is released.

You will probably have to make modifications to rulesets for 2.0. Some of the tags are different and LUA is being used in some cases. The developers have plans to release some sort of converter after they release 2.0. The developers are not forcing an upgrade to 2.0 so you can continue to use 1.05f while you find out what you need to do to upgrade.

What will happen with the modules that companies sell for FG. Will they become incompatible with version 2.0?

I have players and a DM that get confused easily, I'd hate to start them on one platform then switch them to another. We will start playing in Jan 2007.
