To clarify: This scenario uses the new PF2 rules and will be run as a Pathfinder Society scenario.

Honestly not sure whether we'll have a legal table but we'll see. If there are not at least three signups 24 hours before the game, we'll have to cancel.

Please schedule around 4 hours for the game (a bit more if there are several new players).

Character creation in PFS2. (https://www.organizedplayfoundation.org/encyclopedia/pfs2edplayer-basics/#character-creation)

Quite a lot of character options in newer books just became PFS2 legal (https://paizo.com/community/blog/v5748dyo6sh3j?Pathfinder-Society-Character-Options)

If this is your first PFS2 game on this particular character, I will need to know your Paizo Organized Play #, your character #, your faction and your current gold (after character creation). You can either put it in the notes tab or send it to me some other way (see below).

If you already played this character, please send me your last chroncle sheet so I know the information mentioned above as well as chronicle #, reputation, XP and fame.

I can have the server up for you to build your character either GMT weeknight evening or possibly on the weekend (though be aware not all books are on FG yet).

If you need a pregen please notify me in advance!

In your own interest, make sure the party is somewhat balanced level-wise.

If you can, please try to send me your character 24 hours before the game so I can review any relevant rules.

About the scenario:

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 1–4 (Subtiers 1–2 and 3–4).

The powerful nation of Cheliax has posted a public bounty that would richly reward the first team of explorers to chart a viable route across the Menador Mountains, linking the nations of Isger and Molthune (all to bypass the economic powerhouse of Druma, which has recently imposed higher taxes on key goods crossing its borders). Yet the Menador Mountains are an imposing obstacle, replete with steep slopes, snowy peaks, and territorial orcs. Even so, there are no finer explorers than the Pathfinders, and the Society has dispatched a team to collect the prize. Are the PCs ready to not only explore the foreboding mountains but also to compete with the rival teams and local inhabitants?

Some boilerplate clarifications:

Please apply on the FG forums on both the game calendar (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/calendar/index.xcp?id=3775) as well as in the game thread (if multiple household members are playing, one person per household is sufficient). First, it's easier to tell how many spots are already filled that way. Second, the other players (as well as the GM) know what level and class to expect from your character (if you don't know yet, simply state TBD). Third, you'll get notified about any updates if you post in the game thread (at least about the first one). Fourth, it allows the GM to determine who applied first should it become relevant. Some exceptions might apply.

Also, please be sure to check the thread for new messages occasionally. You don't have to check each and every day or every few hours but please make sure to reply to any posts that do concern you in time. Should you remain unresponsive, I'll give the spot to a player that applied after you (as I won't know whether you are still interested in participating or not). Exceptions might apply, e.g. if you state beforehand that you won't be able to respond due to traveling.

If you apply but don't show up or drop out during the game without notice, in future games I might also give preference to other players who have a better track record of showing up. I am aware though that life and technical problems can always happen, so don't worry if you have a valid reason though.

These rules are not in place to prevent players from playing but in fact to enable players willing to play to actually do so. It's frustrating if I have to turn down players if it turns out they would in fact have been able to play.

Alright, looks like 4 players so far, 2 spots open.

If you have any questions on PF2 or PFS2 feel free to ask (either here or in private - contact details can be found on the game calendar - GM Announcements - Technical Details).

I put the IP address in the game calendar for the game in around 30 minutes.

jhathawaytn and Volkditty, are you going to join? We're currently waiting for you.

Due to only 2 of the signed up players showing up unfortunately no game today.

I may still try to run something later this month / early next month though - if there is enough interest.

If anyone interested is reading this a bit later, I suggest to use this thread to consolidate the interest a bit (preferred timeslot, scenarios played, ...)

Has this game continued? I am a seasoned fantasy grounds 5e player/DM, with some PF1e experience, that is looking to try out PF2e. If you don't have space or the time to teach a newer player, could you point me in the direction of someone who does?

Space - yes, definitely. A lack of people to fill the space was the reason the game didn't work last time.
Time to teach new players - Sure. That's one of the things Pathfinder Society is for. To get new players interested in the game. (And I think with experience in D&D5e and PF1, you'll get into the PF2 ruleset quite quickly.)

Now all we need is a day and time everybody can make.

Almost everything has been covered by Malkavian_Andi.

Pathfinder Society is designed as a series of (loosely connected) one-shots that allow you to "port over" your character (including XP and gold) to other Organized Play games.

And yes, should we have enough players I could run it. Let me know if there is any interest. The next possible dates would be SAT/SUN February 14th/15th, usually at 2 or 6.30 PM UTC (though I would have to schedule around some other games).

Weeknight Society games unfortunately have a low chance of success due to the many timezones involved.

There is a chance that I am in a different game during the later timeslot on the 15th (which I won't know for sure until closer to the date), which would leave SUN February 15th 1.45 PM UTC (with a relatively hard time limit of 6 PM UTC) - which would be pretty early for you.

Are there at least three players that could make SUN March 15th 1.45 PM UTC?

If not, we could still try on a different weekend.

Sun Feb 15th is still completely open for me, so I would be able to join.

I would be extremely interested in getting into this! If this is still going on i'd like to throw my hat in the ring.

It all depends on whether there are enough players interested. Currently, SUN February 15th 1.45 PM UTC is the most likely time. If you can make that timeslot, that's one more to get this going.

stephan_
March 6th, 2020, 08:20
Exactly. The trouble usually is getting everyone to agree on a timeslot.

The second most likely timeslot after SUN March 15th 1.45 PM UTC is likely SAT March 14th 6.30 PM UTC

I can make either of those times, i DM a 5e DnD game every other saturday, i have the 14th off.

stephan_
March 6th, 2020, 12:30
Alright, in that case I'll try to schedule the SFS game first and then schedule the PFS game on the other date.

Be aware the UTC offset for USA/Canada might change due to DST.

That date and time would probably work for me.

Saturday 14 would not.

Alright.
