I am interested in converting one or more 2e campaigns into 5e for the current young'ins. Seems many of them do not want to create AD&D characters
So my questions. Is is possible to open a 2e module in a 5e campaign? How? I figure there's a flag in an xml file somewhere that says what "games" the module will go for.
What problems might I run into by doing that?
If I did this to a FG module, would I run into licensing issues (ie. did FG agree to not use 2e modules in any other version of D&D?)
I know there are some differences related to the power of magic items, amount of loot found, how experience is awarded. I'm more worried about things breaking or unexpected "side-effects" popping up.
