Number of Players in game & needed: 5-7
Character starting level & equipment: Starting level will depends on the number of players (Average 6 if fewer than 6 play), If there are 6 or more players, average level will be 5). An appropriate amount of gold will be given to by equipment for the respective levels).
Character restrictions: Characters can choose any class/race from the PHB and Unearthed Arcana (1983), This includes all major subraces and the following classes: Cavalier, Paladin, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Barbarian, Ranger, Thief, Acrobat, Assassin and Monk.

As Non-Weapon Proficiencies did not exist in 1E, players can take Secondary Skills.
UA also enhanced combat with options such as weapon specialization, making it more like 2E.

Also known as the TPK Dungeon, the TPK Adventure, Hell's Hole, or "FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S HOLY, DON'T GO IN THERE!!!"

One of my favorite adventures of all time across all genres. :P

You're just saying that because the first 2/3 of the dungeon is full of toxic gas, causing damage every turn. :bandit: (NOTE: For non-veterans, a Turn in 1E and 2E is 10 minutes)

For anyone interested, I have the module about 70% entered (basically, adding encounters and parcels to the rooms). I should have it finished before the weekend is over, so if I can find enough players, it will be playable on the 11th. Grab all of your nostalgic friends to join

Okay, I have the module entered in its entirety. Still playerless, but if I can find the players, I can run this in the next two weeks (11th and 18th). Otherwise, it'll be the initial stated date of 1-8 I'll be asking around in my other games.

Okay, my Thursday game just ended, so that's an available night, now. I'll run the game as soon as I have a suitable number of players. Recommended is 5-7 (Average level 5 for 6 or more and 6 for 5 or fewer).

Do you want/require the use of the pre-gen characters or should/can players bring in their own?

You can play anything you want from PHB or UA. You just need to tell me if you choose from the latter, because I only have the core Races/Classes entered. The team won't last long without Fighters, Thieves or Clerics, though (Note: When I say Fighter, that includes Paladins, Rangers, Cavaliers etc). Likewise, a Druid counts as a Priest, because they still had a lot of healing spells, then.

For those watching, I've set up a game calendar. Go ahead and add your desired character to the Calendar. Then, when we have at least 4 players, I'll add preliminary dates for you to vote on.

Hello
I have no experience with any edition before 3rd
I poured over 2 different editions of PHB's , a 600 page 2e book, and a 140 page AD&D book, And Have a limited understanding of some things
I used a website to generate a character, Krolm; Half-Orc Fighter

Are you willing to tolerate my incompetence, Are you willing to allow me to play?

It is true that AD&D had a much more complicated rolling system than later editions. However, as the player, you don’t really meed to know any of it. Pretty much anything you need and any advancement to your character is coded, and can be checked with a simple click.

I still need 2-4 more players. We have a Fighter, Rogue and Cleric.

I'd like to give it shot, sounds like great fun.

I have very little experience with FG so i may need some help with character creation, etc...

An overview of my proposed character: (Edited)

Name: Seth Aster
Race: Human (male)
Class: Ranger
Armor: Splint Mail (or Elvin Chain if insanely lucky)
primary weapon: bast sword
secondary weapon(s): sling / hand axe / dagger
Secondary skill: Forester
other ranger abilities: Insane hit points at first level (2d8) / tracking base 90% / +1 damage per level vs giant class / surprise others 1-3 on d6 / surprised 1 in d6

Overall, that would be an acceptable character. However, 1st Edition didn’t include multiattack without weapon specialization (and even then, only in expansions), which is restricted to core fighters.
Also, non-weapon proficiencies weren’t introduced (to my knowledge) until 2nd Edition, leaving only the Secondary Skills option. This, however, I will allow you to choose, instead of rolling on the skills table.

Just because I spend to much time in AD&D :)

The 1E PHB shows multi-attacks per round by level on page 25 (not specialization). FIGHTERS’, PALADINS’, & RANGERS’ ATTACKS
PER MELEE ROUND TABLE. The UA included a version that did include specialist attacks per round.

Non-weapon profs showed up in OA, DSG and WSG in 1e.

I'm still in need of a couple more players for those still interested. PM me for a Discord Invite. UA class/race options have now been added (though not spells).
