Do you need to have the same ruleset?

Is there any prediction that people who have access to fantasy grounds unity's closed beta will play without having to have the same ruleset.
I ask this, because the other day I tried to test my ruleset of Castles & Crusades with a friend, it appeared that he connected on my desk, but soon after disconnected, I thought it was him playing with me, but then he said and find your table, connect , under things the time that will enter actually appears a lot of error and returns to the main screen.

Nothing has changed in Unity. Players won’t need to own the ruleset. I don’t know whether the castles and crusades ruleset is yet ready to play games with in Unity yet.
