Good morning.

I've been an FGC user for some time now, and am working on getting my Gurps campaign into FGU, and decided to try to make a LOS map. The problem is that I don't even know what 80% of the functionality on the image window does!

Maybe it's because that I never used the layer extensions in FGC, but I'm not up to speed on what I feel are the basics.

Regarding the icons on the image window (d20, overlapping paper icon, paintbrush, fx, brick wall, mask, grid etc) I'm not sure if I can't get things to work , because I am clueless or they don't work yet.

Is there any information that covers this?

Nothing to do with, or related to, the layers extension in FGC. We all have to learn how to use FGU from scratch. The main resource is the various videos posted on the Fantasy Grounds YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/smiteworksprez/videos

Thank you Sir!

It seems to me that it will be a bit daunting to the totally new user.

I agree. It's very powerful, with lots of functionality - it's really an application within an application. Lots more exclamations of "steep learning curve" from the masses! ;)

Additionally, there is also a new wiki and here is the image part: https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGU/pages/950633/Working+with+Images+as+the+GM :) (https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGU/pages/950633/Working+with+Images+as+the+GM)
