View Full Version : FGU Cannot Create Or Open A Campaign.

Very frustrating looking through the other threads - clearly some people are able to open and test campaigns. I cannot create a new Campaign - the launcher seems to freeze (even half an hour later nothing has happened) - this is on each and every ruleset I try. Tried on Clouad and Local Server but it makes no difference.

For the Rolemaster ruleset I do get the additional tantalising error splash screen:

Don't use RoleMaster. That ruleset has not been updated to replace any FGFonts it uses. Verify you can create a 5E or CoreRPG campaign.

As LordEntrails mentioned, the RolemasterClassic ruleset has not been updated for FGU yet, which is one of the reasons why it is not in the FGU patch system yet. Dakadin (the RMC ruleset developer) is aware of the situation, and working on an update.

I've already done the following:
* Updated the font TTF tags but I haven't verified all the sizes are the same as in FGC.
* Updated the d100 rolls.
* Fixed the XML issues in the ruleset and modules.

The Rolmaster ruleset loads with these changes but still has some issues. I am working with JPG on some API issues. After those are resolved I will be able to test some of the things that I haven't been able to yet. Please let me know if you have any questions.

With JPG's help, the ruleset is mostly working. I have to replace the categoryselectioncontrol instances with the CoreRPG windows and have few more issues to take care of. If everything goes well then I should be able to provide an update so it can be tested in FGU.

The RolemasterClassic ruleset was just added to the FGU updates and should have the fixes to get it working in FGU. I didn't fully test everything but it loads and all the basics should be working. Please let me know if you encounter any issues.
