"Link for NPC is not working, make sure..."

Hello all.

I am new to FG and I have just bought Xanathar's Guide where I am getting the message on some monsters that "link for NPC not working, correct modules have not been opened" or "unable to open window using wildcard link".

It feels like I should been having another book but it never said anything like that when I bought Xanathar.

Can someone clarify please?

A number of the random encounters will contain monsters which are only found in the Monster Manual. Many are in the SRD Bestiary, but there are a lot which will require the Monster Manual.

Ok, so I need the monster manual to fully use it. The randomised encounters is a great feature.

So either purchase the MM or just load the SRD bestiary/creatures and anytime you get o e of those errors just reroll ��
