Is it possible to run a server and client at the same time on one computer? It's just that i have trouble keeping track of what my players are seeing and if i had a player logged in on the same desktop it would help. Additionally, it would allow me to run a GM char without the others knowing about it.

Yes you can do this with a full license. Just connect the player to "localhost" or you can type in the computer IP on your internal network or 127.0.0.1 or your machine name; all of them should work.
