Cant cast spells, missing magnifying class and buttons

I have added a few spells to a character, but when they appear on the ability tab, the magnifying glass isnt present and the spell cant be cast. Any idea what I need to change for this to work? I have added a pic that shows the Jump and Prestidigitation spells missing the cast options.

Hi Britt.

Everything looks fine from your screenshot. You can cast the spells by clicking the little icons. You are currently in combat mode which shows the icons as in your screenshot. You can cycle through the other modes by clicking on the button next to Display at the bottom of the screen if you want to see the standard mode which allows you to edit the spells via the magnifying glass.

When i change to standard, combat, prep and group, summary, and actions, the magnifying glass and the casting icons/buttons are still missing for the spells.

Just to confirm; you don't see this?

If you don't are you using any extensions? Does this happen in a new campaign without any extensions?

EDIT: I can see the magnifying glass against each spell in the screenshot you posted.

I have removed the extensions, and the icons are still not there. If you check the pic I uploaded, next to Jump and Prestidigitation, the icons and magnifying glass are not there.
I have used the character in new and purchased campaigns and it doesnt show in either of them.

Jump and prestidigitation are theatre of the mind spells. They have no actions so there are no icons. Only spells which have something that FG can do will have an icon, such as an attack, force a save, do damage, apply an effect or heal.

OK, that explains it. I was expecting to see something show up on the CT showing the effect of the spell and who it was cast on.
I do appreciate your help. had this for years and never really noticed it until I had someone cast the spell and I didnt see where it went.

You can add your own effects for any spell if you want a visual cue to appear on the CT. This would be useful as well if the spell has a duration so that it can track it.

Would you have a link to something that explains how to do that? I unlocked the spell and there isnt anything showing effects.
