New to the website and tabletop d&d, but experienced with games and roleplay in general. Looking to participate in nearly any decent sized or creative campaign that welcomes new players. Any advice on where to start would be welcome.

The way you find games on this site is to keep a close eye on this sub-forum and look for new LFP posts.
Second, since you're new you'll want to check out the recent threads. I believe there are several active invites across several systems.

What I run will be D&D 5e, and will be designed for new players. You won’t need any fancy books. Just what is available through the ruleset is plenty.
