You don't use gunner skill when doing attack role for missiles so program is doing it right
See rule book (2022) page 173.

What ship are using?
If the armor don't show up in combat tracker then you probably have a syntax error on the ship system tab.
If you using custom ship add don't add ":" in the armor description the armor won't show. See what happens if you change armor to "Armor: 4" and drag a new ship into combat tracker.

I wasn't aware of that that you did not use the turret skill on missiles. I only have the rules as they are presented in fantasygrounds, so I must have missed that detail someplace.

I used stock ship that came with one of the books. But I noticed now that when I added a ship from the spacecraft tab the armor was not listed in the defense section on the combat tracker until after I had opened the starship info in a seperate window and then clicked the systems tab.

Just to confirm no Intellect on PS group test.

We have someone with a suit of powered plate (still in packaging crate in the hold) goes from 40kg to zero when they put it on, should this be 10kg or is it assumed powered plate is effectively weightless when in operation?

Hey MBM, great list of additions for March. Thank you so much for all your hard work. I did run into a problem with the party sheet not displaying any skills from the dropdown menu in the Skill Check field. I did fix it by deleting all the party members from the sheet and dragging them back in, however. Perhaps a note should be added that this is required?

I have also noticed some problems with skill dragging while making PCs and NPCs. Most skills specializations will autopopulate the base skill into the sheet when you input them, as well as automatically applying level 1 (as per the rules) but there are some that do not do this and only populate as, for example; "Heavy Weapons (man portable) 0" and then when dragged a second time, will just create another entry for "Heavy Weapons (man portable) 0", rather than leveling up the skill, as is usually the case. This has greatly slowed down workflow by needing to go in to NPC sheets and manually input skills. Heavy Weapons is not the only skill that is behaving this way either. I am attaching an example of the bug/error as well as a second image of every skill specialization that is misbehaving.

Also; as you can see Gun Combat is populating as just "Combat" in NPC sheets at the very least. Didn't check this in PC sheets.

In the Missile Combat section of the reference manual it's in the paragraph titled Missiles and Targets.

sorry, i just doublechecked this and it seems to be a result of using the FG: Modern Dark theme rather than the base theme for the ruleset. Disappointing; as most of my players have a much easier time interacting with the FG: Modern Dark theme.

Ok well this is one of the issue when text is put into frames and then those text colours are changed.

I've found the general lack of page numbers in FG rulebooks to cause problems such as this as the books often refer to rules by page number which makes them hard to find.

this is why I rely an awful lot on keyword searching those. would be wonderful if those page references were actually linked to the referenced pages

I haven't made my own reference manual yet, but I think that is possible to do, if I remember the tutorial I watched 2 months ago correctly.

The 2022 rulebook will have more references, they do take a lot of time to do though.

I am not sure what goes wrong here, but shouldnt the players be allowed to create cargo entries?

I am not sure what goes wrong here, but shouldnt the players be allowed to create cargo entries?

The Charisma stat, never made it into the cut as such, not sure the CS will take another optional. In my games as it says in Aliens Book 1, we use the Soc stat to track Charisma. But let me add it to my lists and see if I can squeeze it in like Aslan have Territory.

One of my players is having an issue viewing the "Main" tab of a PC Spacecraft. The issue only occurs with PC Spacecraft and the issue doesn't appear to occur anywhere else.
The issue was discovered around a month ago (His first time using fantasygrounds) so it isn't a problem with a new update as far as I can tell. Changing the size of the PC Spacecraft window has no effect, and neither does resizing fantasygrounds.

The same player is also getting an error message the first time in a session that he opens the "Systems" tab of a Non-PC Spacecraft and I'm not sure if it's related to the previous isssue or not.

Thanks for pointing these out. I've made sure 'Charm' is shown (it was originally Charisma) and Intellect is also shown.

However 'Resolve' is in game. It's for Hivers, and it's an Option to use.

I might be confused, but it appears that the bulk of the details of careers have gone missing. From memory, they used to have details of Assignments, Career Progress, tables etc. but now there's just a summary. Have I missed something?

Stun weapons seem to have stopped working. When I drag stun damage onto a PC or NPC, it resolves to 0 points of damage. (0 + strength DM if it's a melee weapon).

I've tested right now.

'3d6 stun' works correctly.

Radiation is under development, as it's a 2nd damage type, and the ruleset only supports 1 damage type at the moment, it'll come as soon as I can make all the changes.

Traits are used as often as I can, and will be part of the update, the issue though is that Traveller has a mix of both, I'd much prefer traits were used for everything (like 5E).

I'll test it tonight (ie soon). It won't be anything wrong on your side. FGU had a large update and they rebuilt the dice rolling system which broke damage rolls. Due to the nature a quick fix was posted, but quick fixes don't get fully tested.

So give me an hour or so.

ok maybe I am missing something but ...
When i click PSI Abilities There is Clarivoyance, Telekinesis, and Teleportation. These can all be dragged to the PSI Talents under the skills tab.

What is not listed in the PSI Abilities is Awareness and Telepathy What am I doing wrong?

There is no Psionic abilities called Telepathy or Awareness those are the names of a related group of abilities. There are Psionic abilities called Teleportation, Telekinesis, and Clairvoyance (Those are also the names of the Related group of abilities). If you notice the Psionics tab is called "Psionic Abilities", Not "Psionic Groups" of "Psionic Skills"

When you drag Telempathy to your sheet it adds an action to the action tab for all of the abilities under Telepathy and it adds Telepathy to the skills page. (Telepathy is the name of the related group of Psionic abilities).
If you drag Enhanced Strength to your sheet it adds all the abilities available to Awareness to the action tab and adds Awareness to the Skills page.
Dragging Teleportation, Telekinesis, and Clairvoyance also adds the related Psionic abilities to the actions tab.

Does that help.

Our Creduthaar from Behind the Claw - dropping the race in makes racial traits appear, and the slasher action appears in the action tab. However it doesn't seem to want to apply the Melee (natural) skill as it should, though it claims to see the skill? I tried reapplying race and traits however there seems to be no-way to remove the slasher action and reinstall it?53214

Hello,

I've been running a Traveller campaign on FGU, and noticed that when it loads I get one instance of a script execution error and two instances of a handler error with this string after each - [string "scripts/manager_char_encumbrance_traveller...."]:46: attempt to index a nil value.
I'm running version 4.2.2 Ultimate (2022-06-07).
I haven't had any issues in game play, but wondered if it was an issue or needed a fix.

That error is when a set of armour has not got a sub-type attached to it.

I'll get that fixed on the update I've got coming soon, but you can get around t by editing the item and adding a sub-type.

I would like to report a possible bug:
I have a set of modifiers I created in the Modifiers panel that makes quick use of Chain Effect mods and Ship range mods. When using these with the character's Ships tab it produces and error.
And as a matter of simplicity if I use the bottom most left modifier box on a character firing ships weapons from their character sheet it gets the same error:

[ERROR] Script execution error: [string "campaign/scripts/spacecraft_weapons.lua"]:26: attempt to concatenate local 'sDesc' (a nil value)

Purpose of me using this is to quickly enable a PC player to add the proper mods (chain/range) during battle.

If you can post the full logs next time, it would help to ensure we get the full error message, and any other error messages from the logs. Just press the Compile Logs button in the console section, and it will build a zip file of the logs to send/post.

I've been helping to cover a bit for MadBeardMan, and I think I've pushed a hot fix update that should address that issue. Please run a new Check for Updates from the FG launch screen, and try again.

I'm running in to a problem after my players made some modifications to their ship. They added a Medical Bay, which would take up 4 tons. I added the Medical bay to the systems tab and updated the cargo space there as well, to reflect the new values. However, this change is not translating to the automated free cargo space value in the cargo tab of the ship sheet. It still displays the original value the ship was designed with. I've tried editing it within the automated field's box and it will not allow that either. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

I was able to make a change to the ship and adjust the cargo to a new number and it worked. the ship started with 29.7 ton of cargo space and I added the medical bay and reduced it to 25.7 ton. However it is a convoluted way to make it work. Basically you are making a new ship.

1) Make a copy of the ship that you are editing. For instance take a far trader and make a copy of that ship in the Spacecraft list (You do this buy selecting the ship and then dragging the record into the ship list).
2) Unlock the ship.
3) make your edits to the systems, you will notice that there is no cargo tab.
4) relock the record
5) create a new PC ship and drag the new record to it. you will notice that the ships cargo tab is calculating a 0.
6) Add the new PC ship to the Party & Ship sheet.
7) close the new ship record down and reopen it, the Cargo should read correctly.

As seen in the pictures below it did adjust the auto-calc of the cargo.

this is far from ideal. thank you for finding out how to do this, but...it's just untenable. as my campaign progresses I will need to make dozens and dozens of changes as my Travellers continue to make repairs to systems on possibly multiple ships; replacements and upgrades. that's a massive time sink for what amounts to a very basic math problem if I was doing this on paper.

For what it's worth, the ship tab on the Party Sheet also tracks available cargo and the math updates correctly there, as the free space value is freely editable in that sheet. However, this will lose it's utility as we begin tracking cargo space on multiple ships.

This is a Core Fantasy Grounds feature, tidies up text while editing.

Hi guys. I have hit a couple of Unity bugs...

I can't lock the PC Spaceship Sheet. The lock button on the top is simply not there. Older entries are still lockable, but if you close the server with the ship in edit mode, the lock button will be missing when you reopen it.

I cannot add image links to the notes tab.

Hi guys. I have hit a couple of Unity bugs...

I believe a problem has arisen since FGU was updated with the new death token splat.. When I hit then apply damage using MGT2E now in the control panel when the ruleset tries to apply damage,
you get the console window coming up with an error complaining about not being able to find the hit location icon and a nil pointer in the getPercentWounded function return.

Seems to be working, I don't get the console error. Though, I don't see any bloody death splat on the map, even though old Buzz has definitely picked up his angel wings and harp..though, maybe I don't know how to do that properly,
given that it is a new feature. Could be due to the different way a PC is killed in MGT2E... I did get the console chat death message though on the death throws of one Buzz Lightyear. Score one for the Zhodani warbot.
I did give the warbot, a laser pistol to finish off Buzz, instead of the radiation damage the FGMP was doing.

I'm not familiar with the MGT2 rules and ruleset framework, just maintaining it since the original developer has been away for a while.

However, I was able to get the death markers to appear as expected. The death markers will only be placed if the creature is deleted from the combat tracker while in the Dying/Dead health state. (i.e. when the delete button appears on the combat tracker entry on the GM combat tracker.)

Thanks.. I can get proper blood splat over my nice clean starship bridge now... Thanks...It was deleting from the combat tracker and not the map as I thought how it worked did the trick.

I opened my traveller campaign I and got a strange set of errors. It is more than 6 months ago this file was opened the last time.
This error comes when i open the character sheet and go to the personal tab. Whenever the character sheet is resized this error also appear.
This only happens on the personal tab.

Hi sorry if it has been already raised, but i cannot find a list of open bugs. Maybe we can stick one to the first post?

When rolling skills/attacks from an NPC sheet (i haven't tried the combat tracker) it doesn't apply characteristic modifiers. ie. NPC with +1 dex and guns 1 only adds +1 to the roll. I tried to override the modifier from the bar but it still doesn't add it to the roll.

I'll reach out to the developer for confirmation, but I'm not seeing in the code that the attribute modifier ever linked up for skill and attack rolls for NPCs. Till I can touch base with them, you can get around this by clicking on the desktop attribute button to add the relevant attribute modifier.

Thank you! Desktop attribute button doesn't work either - or it overrides the skill level (essentially the described skill roll will be also a +1 if using the desktop override)

Found another one while refereeing "Death Station" yesterday.
The rats npc has a damage set as 1d3, however when rolling it rolls a 1d63

I tried editing the npc and deleting and typing the damage again but it was still rolling 1d63 - so not sure 1d3 works

Thanks for letting us know about this. That's really odd that one. I'm going through all the bugs this weekend and I'll fix this. I think it's down to the new dice system, which might be the issue with the NPC as well.

Thank you MBM!! The rule set works a charm in almost every other aspect I have used so far!

Do you have a dev wish list anywhere we can add ideas? One thing I think it would be of help, although i guess not straight forward to implement, is something similar to how the SW handle damage, where before it gets applied it can be reviewed/changed and then accepted or discarded. This will help considerably with ad hoc adjustments because of missed modifiers or cancel damage when the player had forgotten to target the right target...

I was directed here in the discord forums to post any issues I encountered on the MGT2e FGU platform as MadBeardMan looks here more frequently. So what I have encountered is that when specifically making a PC Spacecraft I cannot add a deck plan or picture to it in the Notes section as can be done if its just a spacecraft I created.

This is working for me. Make sure you have run a new Check for Updates, and that you don't have any folders under the FG data folder in the rulesets subfolder. (FG data folder is accessible via the folder button on FG launch screen.)

No folders are in the ruleset folder.

Looks like it works fine for new systems but not for existing systems. If you try and edit an existing system (as shown in my screen shot) the fields are locked.

Still happening after the most recent update.

If a system is locked, then it can't be edited. Some of the earlier books had locked systems because there wasn't additional fields like downports that you could add, so which product is this coming from? I could look at re-building it with non-locked systems.

The system info is from The Pirates of Drinax - Book 2: The Trojan Reach.

The weird part is you can unlock the info and edit anything, even add starport facilities info (which is typically blank). You just can't edit new additional ports on the Spaceports tab.

Hey,POD had the changes done on release, so this is odd behaviour. I'll check it later tonight. I just pushed an update to the Core Ruleset with some fixes and stuff, so can get this done over the weekend as well.

The spacecraft notes for PC ships are a different type of data field than the notes tab of NPC ships. (i.e. simple text field vs. formatted text field) So, you won't be able to add links to the PC ship notes with the current implementation. This would be something @MadBeardMan would have to look at, and decide on what makes sense.

For the script error, I've pushed an update to fix the error, that I believe was caused by general cleanup I was performing across multiple rulesets.

MBM - Given Moon Wizard's reply do you still want the campaign zip? I would really like to be able to add custom 2D deckplans to the players ship, though I can just bring it up from the images for them when required so not the end of the world, just did not know if it was broken or just the way it is. One easy fix I discovered since I posted this is that the Serpent Class Scout is listed with 100 Hull Points, it should only have 40.

Moon Wizard it does seem to have fixed the issue, I am doing a lot of campaign creation across the full range of features so some of these things I am not sure how they are supposed to react so sorry if I keep bringing up things that are temporary. Like today I cannot remove ships from last weeks session from the spacecraft combat tracker....unless I make them enemies and delete them using the menu to delete enemies only.

I love the character creation mod. Have been using it for all my character creation needs. Found an issue or two, but this one currently is what I came across
under the noble : Qualified entry there is a list of basic skills, it lists Diplomat twice, when one of them should be, Electronics.

On the Draft, and Drifter There are two entries for Draft and Drifter, one is blank, the other has the table, All the : Didn't Qualify it link to the blank ones.

On Career Table, under scholar, is Pirate, instead of Physician

I do want to say thank you so so much for the mod it's very helpful and I love it!

And if the game mechanics can be coded to read that tally and automatically apply the -1 DM per Melee/Throw/Shooting Attack? Then have the reaction tally automatically clear at the round end?

This reaction penalty is often forgotten about during the heat of play, and having some method to automatically keep track and subtract the DM would be a very helpful automation. Maybe adding a notification in the chat/dice box as to where the negative dice modifier was coming from " - 2 DM for Reactions " or some verbiage like that to stop confusion when it is applied.

Hasn't tried, but it maybe easy to do with an effect? You can short key it and apply quickly every time a reaction is made. It will last until the end of the next character turn i think - which is probably the right thing instead of clearing at the end of the turn?

I am seeing issues with the combat tracker not picking up PC weapons? Is this due to recent updates to Core FGU. I haven't used the ruleset in a while. I am seeing other things not populating as well, but the one thing i can definitely confirm is this combat tracker bug.

None of the combat trackers in any of the rulesets are made to show PC weapons; as PC attacks are typically much more complex with data/UI than NPC attacks. Only NPC attacks are shown in the combat tracker. This is not a new behavior.

I am also having an issue where the skill level for a weapon isn't auto populating. For example, ArcBlade using Melee (Blade)...but it doesn't recognize the fact that you have the skill? Happens for numerous weapons?

Creating a new task chain (from the menu item not the task chain tracker) opens the console with an error:

In Systems, Spaceports tab there is a option to add more then one spaceport in a star system. But it is not possible to enter any text on the secondary starposts or name the different starports.

Seeing an issue with Assigned Spacecraft in the PC sheet.

Not sure if this is a bug or an enhancement request but to me it's a bug soooo...

When rolling a Prey Encounter (PoD) or Space Encounter (CRB) and outputting it to "Enc." (i.e. Encounter) it creates a 'normal' battle encounter and not a Spacecraft battle encounter. Also there is no useful information outputted that would aid in manually filling an encounter in any generated encounter (regardless of which kind is generated).

Is there something I'm missing?

I ran a game last night after the hotfix. All of our rolls were against a Target Number '8' The desktop override to change the values did not work for the GM or Players. I got notified in the chat log as a GM if the value was change to say a '4' but the dice were rolled against an '8'

Sorry for the false alarm. I'm just getting back from a weekend trip and trying to recreate the error. Everything is working as designed in both a brand new campaign and the one I used on Thursday. Not sure what we did to induce it but it cannot be replicated on my end. Thanks for checking it out and chasing it down regardless!

It seems that many of the supplements (Aliens, Spinward Extants, etc.) have new careers, but those careers only show up when you look at the supplement tables and not in the career section for players. Obviously, there is a work around, but it would be nice if all careers showed up in the career tab.

Hi all, after updating this evening we saw a few console errors in the MG Traveller 2 ruleset.
When I opened the Starship Combat Tracker I saw this error in the console:

Then in combat when rolling damage I saw this error:

I opened the spacecraft combat tracker and got the first error,
Dragged the attack to the Rao
Dragged the damage dice icon to the Rao to apply damage and got the second error
No damage was applied
Dragged the Damage message from the chat to the Rao and got the third error (same as the second).

I've attached the logs.

Thanks John, that is much better. It now asks if I want to apply the damage and applies it if I say Apply, but there is still a problem with CRITICAL hits.
You can force a critical by giving a big modifier to the attack.
When you appluy the damage it gives the error:

I'm not 100% sure that the critical created is correct RaW but I will check and take that up with Mad Beard Man seperately.

Three issues I've found. One similar to one I've seen before but was fixed, the other is new.

1. When assigning damage from a hit by a Barbette it fails to roll the damage and only assigns the bonus damage from to-hit roll.

2. Dragging and dropping the "new target" button/chit does not target anything in the Spacecraft Combat Tracker. Using the "on map" targeting does seem to work.

3. When a PC fires a weapon on a ship that is targeting another and succeeds, no damage assignment is requested.

I found a missing nil check for a failed find of the string for damage. I will have that ready for the next weekly update. As for the record itself, can you tell me where the ammo record is from? Does it list an empty damage area?

I edited the revolver damage not to have a blank value, then I could drag/drop the ammo in but it didn't update the damage dice at all (only updated weapon traits).
So I also needed to edit the damage for the different ammo manually.
The Mutiny Cartridge fires from a secondary barrel and has different rang and also should have magasin size 1. Probably need to add "Sindalian Officer Revolver (lower barrel)" has a new weapon item to workpropely in FG.

I was able to locate the issue and have pushed a fix for this issue. However, the ruleset is currently locked down due to a update that is now available on TEST. This fix will be pushed LIVE when that is ready to go LIVE.

I found that there is more places where damage is not changed to a weapon when drag/drop ammo modifier on it.
Tested dropping Plasma ammunition from the Central Supply catalog module on to snub pistol. It should increase the damage by 1D6 but it did not, only added weapon tritesAP 6 and Blast x2.

Will the fix impact all ammunition modification or is it a weapon by weapon fix?

Well what I did was set the damage field with the damage that appears on the ammunition record. I think I'll need to dig deeper to get the dice to update with the base weapon and ammunition. But for the time being if it's cumulative, then you'll need to roll both the weapon damage and the ammunition damage in succession. I have time to still look at it till it goes LIVE, but wanted to be transparent with the fix.

Ok, I had some time to look this over and devoted some time to getting the additive to work. So if the weapon has a base weapon damage and the ammunition has a '+' or '-' in front of the dice string, it will combine the weapon damage and ammo damage in the ammo damage line. If it does not include the +/- then it will consider it a flat replacement and only display the ammo's damage. This is all on TEST if you want to try it out and will be pushed LIVE with the TEST version that is currently being tested.

Party and Ships sheet bug

Firstly, I love the FGU implementation of Traveller 2e **but** it is really hard to see how badly damaged PCs are. The player character sheet (Action tab) could really do with showing max stats alongside current stats, or even better the bars shown on the Party and Ships sheet being reproduced in the CT (even just numerically). As it is, only way of seeing how badly damaged PCs are (without swapping between character sheet Main and Action tabs all the time) is to use the Party and Ships main tab to see the 3 bars for health status. Hence the below quite a pain, for me at least.

Observed behaviour
The Wounds (End / Str / Dex) bars stop working correctly between gaming sessions, if someone has taken damage. For example, one of the characters has 8 Str, but down to 2 at end of session (blame a crazed Aslan on Paal!). The bars all looked good during the fight, but we stopped the session part way through a major battle. On re-loading, Bill's Str bar on the Party and Ships sheet shows full (mouse over shows 2 out of 2). Appears like the bars assume max values as at start of session.

To reproduce
1) Grab a hot cup of coffee
2) Apply damage to a PC (Starts fully healthy)
3) Party and Ships sheet (Main tab) all looks ok (avoid the stats all going to zero)
4) Close FGU
5) Restart FGU / reload campaign
6) Go to Party and Ships sheet, and notice some oddness going on. (Mouse over one of the bars for damaged stats to see what I mean) .. see example attached

Had a player roll a Psion up and when I start adding the Psionic abilities I get the following log errors. I've created a new test campaign with just the core rules and player reference and still have the same issue. I even re-downloaded the modules with the same issue (I did this with no extensions loaded).

Tested and while it's giving damage the damage roll seems to be broken. I tested this with both a barbette and standard turret. The bonus damage was given but the rolled damage never happened and nothing shows up.

The attack roll was made by a PC linked to the ship (i.e. in the crew list) by clicking on the roll and damage "buttons" on their sheet (as shown in the images). That is SoP for PC ships, i.e. to make starship attack and damage rolls from their character sheets.

Also would like to point out that in the Player Resource, Core Rules, and Central Supply Catalog they have the Gauss Rifle and Gauss Sniper Rifles as TL 12 when they should be TL 13. The pistol is the correct TL.

Gauss Pistol has TL 13 in both Core Book and Central Supply Catalog.
Gauss Rifle has TL 12 in both Core Book and Central Supply Catalog.

Yup, I see where I made the mistake. I read the description of it "Gauss Rifle: Gauss rifles replace conventional rifles at TL13". It's just that it's a standard issue weapon on TL13 worlds. Sorry about that.

Hi, fairly new to this but I wonder whether I've also found a bug? Or maybe I've input data incorrectly. Trying to update the armour from the new CSC into FGU and it's coming up with error messages: Script execution error: [string "MGT2:campaign/scripts/manager_char.lua"]:1141: attempt to perform arithmetic on global 'nProtection' (a nil value). No idea what this means. As well as the error messages I'm unable to have the Armour show up in the Armour section on the character sheet when equipped.

I think I've rewritten the script to fail gracefully in that scenario, if you want to give it another try. Please run a new Check for Updates.

OMG, that works!! You are so brilliant. :D This has been driving us nuts for ages.

One final question: would you recommend that I do not put an item's description under the Description box but rather at the foot of the template? I note the the Description box is sometimes used for modifiers.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a 'feature' - and grateful of advice. Is there any way for a player to see his health from their character sheet?

The Actions tab shows current stats, so say END is 7 out of 11, it will show 7. I recognise the Party and Ships sheet has a Wounds display (thanks for fixing it), but
it seems rather odd that a player can't easily see health from their character sheet (without quickly switching between 'Main' (undamaged stats) and 'Action' (current stats).

Can someone please either point me at something I am missing, which will let players see health clearly from character sheet, or confirm this isn't possible.

Well it's not a bug as the feature is working as it was intended by the original developer. It does display the current "health" of that particular stat. I do see it changes color, but doesn't do shades which could give more help in that area. So with the current implementation, there isn't a health bar on the character sheet. The number still displays it's current status and the modifier the stat provides. I believe this would be more of a feature request then a bug report.

Most rulesets use the gradient from green to red for level of damage in most combat trackers. I will add it to my list to help adjust the color more than just green and orange on the character sheet.

To be clear, it is more than just the colour. In 5e, for example, it is really clear how badly injured I am (number of wounds)

In Traveller, I would have to look at current stats in 'Actions' and look to see how different it is to the 'undamaged' stats shown on 'Main'
(no place to see the number of ~wounds to each stat). The colour will help, but still will be hard for my Travellers to see exactly how much
damage has been taken to each stat. If you look at the Foundry version of charactersheet, they have an entry below each stat showing damage
taken.

SuperTeddy. Thanks for getting the new feature out so quickly. I've just updated and picked up the functionality.

One thing however - the max INT stat is set to zero in error - I should have noticed it when you provided a screenshot so apologies for not spotting it.

On the plus side, the travellers I play with will find this so much better than before, now they can see max and current stats together on the charactersheet.

For example, the right hand bar under player has skills and races and professions. The module Glorious Empire has Aslan specific items that don't show up. Also, the Aliens of Charted Space careers don't show up either. It would also be nice to have the broad skills from the Companion show up under the skills tab. Maybe make it an option for GMs to enable so only those that want those skills. Lastly, the Central Supply Catalog has alot of items. items such as Power Armor and weapons can have attachments. It would sure be nice to have the attachments fit onto the armor or weapon rather being a separate item on your inventory. Yes all of these items can be dealt with manually, but the attraction of a VTT is not to have to manually adjust so many items. There is also a type whey you look up systems. Not sure which module but there are a bunch called Sworld Worlds rather than Sword Worlds.

I will have to look these claims. If modules are missing records that are provided like other modules then that is an issue that needs correcting. If you can give me the module name and what is missing (like you have done here), I can look them over and see about correcting that. The attachments request would be an expansion of the code and wont' be an easy implementation and something to consider when the code gets expanded.

Played last night and noted that zeros are often depicted as black in the initiative column (see image). Can this be resolved? I notice the same for item templates (e.g. where the weight in kg is blank instead of 0).

Also some of the text on the character sheets is now appearing outside its field.

It's technically an aesthetic issue. Just that it looks odd that some fields show a zero in the combat tracker and others don't. I cannot recall D&D having this issue but it's a while since I ran that (although still FGU rather than Classic).

When creating a new task chain clicking the add button or the edit list button do nothing. So I can't add any skills to the chain

I see the issue you are running into. I'm just not sure of the purpose of this as I don't see any real automation. Just looks like a place to keep track of them. If that is the case, I will push a new fix for the entries not visible. Just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

I created a fresh MgT2e campaign to confirm this for my system. Opening NPCs from the Robot Handbook throws the following error:

(ERROR Script execution error: [string "MIGT2:campaign/scripts/npcs main.lua": 147: attempt to index global 'race' (a nil value)


I think already-opened NPCs being reopened may not throw the error. Either that or some NPCs don't throw the error. Tere were occasional inconsistencies.

I've just finished Monday night game, where we spotted same issue. As you say, issue with the Task Chains at the top in tools, not under Campaign. I've been using task chains in my campaign, and the task chain I had already has set up is now broken (I had one for J Drive jump, with an Astrogation skill check and a J Drive skill check.)

Also can't create a new task chain. Should be able to click the brown hex to 'unlock' and then drag in the skill checks one wants. That no longer works, and the green Hex with the '+' sign doesn't add anything.

I assume you don't need more modules names since i provided ones already where there are missing careers and skills. I understand the part about needing to expand the code for attachments, but it would be helpful to do so when that happens.

Has anyone encountered this and mentioned it already? Latest FGU & MGT2 update as of Oct 25 2023.
New character created and without any mods I can go to the Actions tab and observe the INT value, mod is correct, that being value 7, mod 0 and grey box 7. I then click on the 'Reset to Max' button and it toggles to a -3 skill and a -1 penalty (Grey Box).

Can verify this error. If you close the NPC and reopen it, it doesn't throw the error again.

I also noticed that the 'Android Body Cyborg, Advanced' threw this error 'Graphic: Unable to load file (modules/Mongoose Traveller 2E - Robot Handbook/campaign/tokens/Android Body Cyborg, Advanced.png) (*)' on first opening.
When opened a second time it displayed the Zombie image instead of the correct one.

The Crew Droid image displays the Cloning Chreche image.
The DesiGnator image displays a blank image.
Kimim AAR - Type 14 Secure Courtesy Assist Unit displays a blank image.

Ditto - thanks Superteddy. I really appreciate how quickly you are fixing issues.

One thing - I think there used to be a radial menu option in the Task Chain window to clear the task chain / clear the results ready for when next used, which I can't see anywhere. I can just manually delete
the results when done, so not a biggy. The radial menu had an eraser icon, if memory serves, when right click on the task chain in question. As I say, easy work around so not major.

The Robots handbook is on my list to investigate, I'm still looking at updating the Core Rulebook with the 2022 errata as well, and I'll look to see if I forgot to link something with Task Chains.

I looked over Robot Handbook and there is some structural issues with the NPC record sheet. I'm going to update it to the current design philosophy and may have some visual differences, but the data should be the same. Mostly text anchor points and control order. So it may look a bit weird at first, but should operate as it normally would. This is will be pushed with the next update.

I will have to look these claims. If modules are missing records that are provided like other modules then that is an issue that needs correcting. If you can give me the module name and what is missing (like you have done here), I can look them over and see about correcting that. The attachments request would be an expansion of the code and wont' be an easy implementation and something to consider when the code gets expanded.

Was the information i provided enough or do you need more? For example, the Traveller Companion Chapter 7 has the other skill options? These are not on the skill tab. Aliens of Chartered Space 1 has Aslan careers, K'Kree careers, Vargr careers, Zhodani careers - all a bit different from the core book. None show up on the career tab. Aliens 2 has new careers for the Solomani, Droyne, and Hivers.

The Marches adventure 2 has the mispelled Sworld Worlds which should be Sword Worlds...seems like now its just the Anduril system. There were more so maybe you fixed the others.

The reason I asked for modules was that I would need to reach out to the developer who produced the content to get it looked at. So in some cases We wouldn't be working to resolve the missing data. In most cases, it may take time for those developers to research the issue and see if it's missing data or a ruleset issue. In any case, for the ruleset side of things, it just hasn't been on top of the pile as other game breaking reports have been reported as of late. We thank you for your report and further information.

I'm creating a campaign with only the Traveller Core Rules. Whenever I open an NPC, I get the following error message.

This happens whether it's one of the NPCs I created for my campaign or if it's a canned NPC.

That was fast.

After I posted my bug, my wife insisted that the dogs needed to be walked. After walking the two dogs (separately -- they're big dogs and I'm not crazy) FGU wanted to be updated and the NPCs worked fine.

A fresh campaign with MgT2e Core and Robots Handbook loaded is no longer throwing the NPC error so thanks.

are throwing the following error:

ERROR window: Control (image) anchoring to an undefined control (items) in windowclass (npc main)

It's related, I believe, to a large image of the NPC in question. The image is now at the top of the NPC's sheet and blocking the view of that page. I did not test Deepnight Revelation 1: Riftsedge Transit.

Correctio, different NPC issue with Robot Handbook. First time opening certain NPCs such as Android Body Cyborg, Advanced, it throws the below error. First time only. I think without proof it happened on another randomly clicked-on NPC but I'm not finding it now. This is on a fresh, clean test campaign.

Another bug. The copy record content button on modules doesn't work. I also found that in the Behind the Claw Module the Glisten system doesn't have the information on the Notes tab from the book. I haven't checked all the rest of the systems, but others that have descriptions have those descriptions in the notes tab.

Second not sure its a bug but the careers tab isn't functional? In other rulesets you click on a career and or profession and it links the the relevant data. In this ruleset it is functionally useless. For example, i might expect the tables for the Agent career to be connected to the Agent listing under the career tab. They aren't so you need to go searching for those tables and the player needs to open the reference module to look for the tables.

Anytime you open the reference section of a module. The top right of the page has the copy button. It doesn't work in Traveller and considering how many of the items in this ruleset are not finished or missing data...this becomes essential tool to copy data.

Without seeing the image, I am guessing you mean the button on the reference manual pages. That button works to copy reference manual page blocks of the page visible to another reference manual page. If the reference manual is red locked it won't copy the blocks. I tested it with copy from the Drinaxian Companion and was able to copy a few pages with this button. What module are you attempting this on? Also, if there is missing data, it would be best to report the module and items with the missing data. That way the developer can be notified to get them fixed.

Weapon issue on Actions tab

Summary: Assuming a character has 3 weapons, all marked 'equipped' (or carried will do), then all three weapons show on the actions tab (so far so good). If the
player then unequips the weapon, then it comes of the actions tab as expected. However, if the player re-equips the weapon, it no
longer re-appears on the actions tab

My details
Computer: PC running Windows 11, 64 bit, 32GB Ram (On high-end Alienware Aurora machine)
FG: Ultimate license
Extensions loaded: None

To reproduce:
1) As usual, grab a nice hot cup of coffee
2) Ensure a character has (say) 2 weapons equipped, in my case an Accelerator Rifle and an Advanced Combat Rifle
3) Ensure both weapons are equipped (inventory)
4) Check Actions sheet - both weapons appear there
5) Now unequip the (say) Accelerator rifle
6) Check actions tab - the Accelerator rifle has disappeared (good!)
7) Now reequip the Accelerator rifle from inventory
8) Have a look at actions. No Accelerator rifle - just the ACR
9) out of interest, if one now restarts the server (via GM) and on re-load, the Accelerator rifle re-appears

This bug occured today for both me as GM and my players.

I was working with the Traveller Companion. Yes i mean the button on the reference manual pages. The Companion is the one with the skills missing from the right skill bar amongst other issues. Behind the Claw is missing information in almost all of the systems that is described in the book.

It appears the previous developer used their own personal books as we don't have access to many of the books we have released to use to help resolve these issues you are relaying with the data. So may take some time for us to receive them from the publisher. If you spot exact issues it would be great to continue to post them here. The more exact the data that is missing the better so I can add them back in.

How do i just attach the file to a post. It seems that options to attach a file don't exist. Attach an image or video are options.

Another problem i found from the core ruleset. Melee (unarmed) is a skill, but unarmed attack doesn't seem to populate the str modifier when you adjust the characteristic as str.

I was able to locate the issue with the DM's not updating. I don't see any feature that created an unarmed strike action. The process with creating unarmed strike is the best option for now. With the fix to the DM's not updating it should register and update correctly when I push this fix. The only thing left is your other report and will need to see that character sheet to track that down. I will push it when I resolve that issue.
