Hi Folks,
I use Dulux's awesome DOE Sound extension and it works great with Syrinscape player and Discord. I'm trying now to also incorporate music that I purchased and have on my hard drive. I've watched Rob Twohy's YouTube video to set this up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xmz_6mO9ksc. I'm able to get these to play, provided that I have the file in my Window's Media Playlist. However, when trying to set up a URL to click it and just play, the URL does launch and the track plays, but none of the players can hear it - only I can (the DM). Is there a way to make it so the URL set to launch the track plays so all can hear? Or is it one of those things where I need to create a playlist in Windows Media Player and then when wanting to play it, I'll need to cut over to the Media Player? Does anyone have any idea or knowledge on this? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

You'll need to set the application that plays the URL to use the windows audio output that you send to Discord.

Do you know what your default music program is? Meaning, when you click the URL and "just play it", what program is it using to play? Also, are you saying if the file is in your Window's media playlist and you play it your players can hear it? You should definitely be able to do what you are trying to do as I do this all the time. I just need to understand your setup a bit more. Also, are you using Voicemeeter, Voicemeeter Banana or Voicemeeter Potato or none of the above?

Thanks for the responses Trenloe & Gwydion. Actually, I think I may have just figured it out - I was being stupid it looks (what else is new - lol). I am using Voicemeeter Banana. It seems that the URL was opening up the music in "Groove Music" and not Windows Media Player for some reason and I didn't notice as the launch looks similar to Media Player. I've never used Groove so I'm surprised it was defaulting to that program. I changed the properties to have it open in Windows Media Player and it looks like it may be working now. I'll double check tonight with my players and if it's not come back here for more guidance. Gwydion - your first question tipped me off to double check this so thanks!!

Is there no module out there for having music play directly from Fantasy Grounds?

No, you need external support for that. In the forums we have discussed a lot of options, but the most popular is sound redirection via second Discord/TeamSpeak instance or your audio channel in it (or Skype) with the native windows capability and virtual audio cable or Voice Meeter with the virtual audio cable.
