I'm interested in watching a session some time soon... if there's one going on and the DM wouldn't mind a gaper, I'd love to sit and silently watch how the games go. I'm new to role playing and still trying to find out if it's for me or not.

Thanks!

You are welcome to sit in on one of my Rappan Athuk sessions if you wish. I don't know how good a representation of the genre it is as it is a very light in actual roleplaying, mostly being a dungeon crawl where the players just kick open doors and see what is on the other side. Still, you should be able to see the mechanics of conflict resolution.

In most roleplaying campaigns there is a great deal more character interaction with the rest of the world. If you want to sit in I should be able to answer any questions you might have after the session is over.

For a sample of a more roleplaying intensive campaign, look what Diana is doing with her campaign. You can get a good sense of it by reading her thread here (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4954). Ignoring all mechanics, you can see this is a very story driven game. There is really no wrong or right ways to play a game - the only real requirement is everyone enjoys themselves.

I think both of those would be interesting... I've sent Diana a PM, but I think it'd be good to see both sides of the coin. When do your sessions run?

Not sure if my players would like someone sitting in, but here is a listing of the chat logs from my game:

Chat Logs (https://ldyparadox99.tripod.com/id3.html)

The only things I've edited out are dice rolls and out of character chit chat that really had nothing to do with the game... :)

Usually Saturdays, Noon PDT (GMT-8). You will need to download teampeak also. Are you on broad band? Follow the link here (https://www.fouruglymonsters.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=35) for info on the campaign. You will need to register to see the forum.

Sounds like fun. I have broadband and I'll get all signed up with teamspeak as well and spend some time familiarizing myself with the campaign so far. Thanks!
