Who needs to buy the Adventure Path

If I wanted to have a GM run a campaign for us, could I buy the FG Adventure Path and then give him the adventure or does he need to buy the FG AP himself under his account?

The GM needs to own it, but as Trenloe said, you can gift it to them :)
