Tier 5-8, subtier will depend on the players. Make sure to decide on a reasonable subtier.

As this is a higher tier scenario please be aware that anything can happen, so prepare accordingly and take note of the scenario description.

It does contain some (minor) spoilers for #1-99.

Please schedule around 4 1/2 hours for the game.

About the scenario:

A Starfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 5-8.

While the Starfinder Society debates how to handle a newly emerged threat, faction leaders Historia-7 and Radaszam enact a dangerous mission to prove the Society is not an organization to trifle with. Taking a stolen enemy starship into the heart of a hostile alien empire, the PCs must pave the way for a decisive strike against the [alien] menace.

Content in Return to Sender directly follows-up on the events of Starfinder Society #1-99: The Scoured Stars Invasion, though playing the previous scenario is not required.

Technical details:

We will use Fantasy Grounds (I have an Ultimate license) and Teamspeak.

Steps before the game:

Make sure to both apply here as well as in the game calendar (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/calendar/index.xcp?id=3572), stating which character you'd like to play.

If you apply, make sure you send me your previous chronicle sheet of the character you want to apply this chronicle to (if you already have any chronicle sheet) either here or on Discord (Fantasy Grounds channel). If it is your first SFS game, I'll at least need your Paizo Organized Play # and your faction.

If you haven't already, also make sure to either build the character on FG yourself (and send it to me) or log in early enough so you can do so on game day.

Make sure you have updated Fantasy Grounds.

FG alias and Teamspeak server can be found under GM annnouncements in the game calendar.

Other notes:

Also make sure to track your purchases on the Inventory Tracking Sheet.

Be sure to apply on time (if you can make it) as the last games were rather full.

In your own interest, make sure the party is somewhat balanced level-wise.

Some boilerplate clarifications:

Please apply on the FG forums on both the game calendar as well as in the game thread (if multiple household members are playing, one person per household is sufficient). First, it's easier to tell how many spots are already filled that way. Second, the other players (as well as the GM) know what level and class to expect from your character (if you don't know yet, simply state TBD). Third, you'll get notified about any updates if you post in the game thread (at least about the first one). Fourth, it allows the GM to determine who applied first should it become relevant. Some exceptions might apply.

Also, please be sure to check the thread for new messages occasionally. You don't have to check each and every day or every few hours but please make sure to reply to any posts that do concern you in time. Should you remain unresponsive, I'll give the spot to a player that applied after you (as I won't know whether you are still interested in participating or not). Exceptions might apply, e.g. if you state beforehand that you won't be able to respond due to traveling.

If you apply but don't show up or drop out during the game without notice, in future games I might also give preference to other players who have a better track record of showing up. I am aware though that life and technical problems can always happen, so don't worry if you have a valid reason though.

These rules are not in place to prevent players from playing but in fact to enable players willing to play to actually do so. It's frustrating if I have to turn down players if it turns out they would in fact have been able to play.

Sorry, will not make this one, but will join the earlier game.

Me too. I'll wait to see which subtier we'll end up in before I deside which character I'll play.

I'm in! Sounds like a combat heavy scenario

For now, there's one 8th level pregen in the calendar, which would go in the direction of higher subtier. Will others bring something for the higher tier as well? That would give me the opportunity to bring my 7th level envoy.

I can bring a 7th level operative

One spot open again.

I'd like to swipe that spot. Can bring envoy or mystic depending on what you need.

Alright, with that all spots filled again.

PCs I'm aware of:

Cao level 6 soldier

Kang level 6 (?) operative

Tash level 6 technomancer

[No 8th level pregen]

Even though it looks like high subtier, I might still play my 7th level envoy, so if it happens to get dangerous combat-wise you'll have some help. I'llmake up mymind about that.

Also, for those who haven't seen it yet: I will offer a scenario for low levels on Sunday: game discussion link (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?50494-SFS-1-32-Acts-of-AssociationrSUN-August-18th-4-PM-GMT)

I think I can guess the race...

I can bring a 7th level operative

I was wrong - I did an audit of my logs and messed up on one of my GM credits. Must have gone through too quickly and applied 2 in the XP section in addition to the fame. Net result is Im off by 1 xp on my log and therefore did NOT level up. So looks like I am bringing a level 6. Assuming he survives, he will be level 7 after this scenario.

I suppose even though I'll miss out on a few credits, I'll go in all-six and help you guys with my 7th level envoy. I'm sure this is gonna be drift.
(anyone who doesn't get what race the character is at this point probably hasn't played a certain module :P )

The server is up.

As Malkavian_Andi is running SFS #1-32: Acts of Association SUN August 25th @ 4 PM GMT (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?50547-SFS-1-32-Acts-of-Association-SUN-August-25th-4-PM-GMT) , I might run another higher tier next week.

stephan_

With Malkavian_Andi running SFS #1-32: Acts of Association on SUN August 25th @ 4 PM GMT (/www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?50547) and aellongm running SFS #1-01: The Commencement on THU August 22nd @ 6 PM GMT (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?50563) (both repeatable tier 1-4), I might run #1-26 Truth of the Seeker (tier 3-6) next week.

Malkavian_Andi
August 18th, 2019, 16:24
(both repeatable tier 1-4)The Commencement is only Tier 1-2, actually.
Anyway, to all who will play Truth of the Seeker, have fun, but don't take it too lightly. It has some mean combats.

Not sure I want to play with the way Stephan_ rolls. :P

Seriously though. I'll definitely try to make it.

stephan_
August 19th, 2019, 12:15
Noted. :) I'll try to diable the "nat 19" extension. If I hadn't rolled in the open, you never would have believed me...

I'll have a quick look at alternatives to #1-26 and post the announcement in the evening (probably the SAT date again as the tier 1-2 is on SUN). Primarily depends on party composition/level probably.

stephan_

Any preference between a relatively tough fight that would be next in the storyline (1-26) or an easier one that jumps a bit ahead in the storyline for SAT?

aellongm
August 20th, 2019, 09:17
1-26 seems nice for me.
