I’m not up on these things, but after upgrading to Mojave a long time back I get warnings about contacting developers for “compatible” (64 bit I’m guessing ;) )

Of course, I backed FGU but I somehow doubt will receive it in time for September’s Catalina. But since I care more about running FG than being up to date I can wait to upgrade. What worries me is I am likely to buy a new MacBook Pro (hopefully 16”) to replace my 2013 Pro. Then I won’t get a choice and be on Catalina from the start.

Will FG work on the new MacOS or are they jettisoning backward 32 bit apps by this release? Yeah, I could ask on some apple forum except I don’t go on any other forums these days.

I have player that upgraded and the macOS version of the FGC app stopped working. He is using VM or Bootcamp now. Not nice

What you could do is create an installer for Mojave and when you get your new Mac wipe it and install Mojave. You can create an installer on a usb thumb drive and i’ve Done it for High Sierra and other version. You can download Mojave from the App Store and create an installer using an article from the apple site. You can create the installer with one line in the terminal. Do a search and I am sure you can find it. I am jealous of your new Mac ;)

You could get Parallels. It will work, but you will need a Windows license as well.

Yeah, I originally ran Parallels on my MacBook pro. I have every Window license with at least one spare from 95 on still. I liked it, great app. Except that it ran disgustingly hot when doing Windows FG. So I got it on Via the wine install and while hot seemed “better” but basically I bought Parallels to run Visual Studio and office. Realized I wasn’t working on VS since new job then was 100% Linux now. These days I am doing Java instead of C++ so :( even less reason. Office I found myself never using in Parallels since I realized I had full MSDN with Mac office too. Turned out I liked rev office Word Outlook better but it all became moot when I started using native Mac apps and was like, office advantages aren’t worth the space on my 750gb ssd (bought a 2tb got son and my PCs but never bothered upgrading since new soon(2+ years now) I was planning to upgrade (lol)

I don’t want to downgrade. Eventually FGU will be released. I’ll suck it up and use the laptop for coding FGC meanwhile. I nearly never play remote. Only the rare times I am on vacation where I am free at that time. I play on my desktop. So that won’t be affected either way. Plus I went like nearly 3 months without working on my project due to other life tasks so worst comes to worst I can pause again come Late Sept/early Oct.

Thanks for verifying. I feared it was so.
