Trying to build a working HârnMaster 3 ruleset on top of the base MoreCore and while it's still nowhere near as complete as I would like it be I figured I would at least post a progress screenshot. Been working on it off and on over a 'really' long time because every time I hit a roadblock I'd put it away for a while and then eventually pull it back out again a few months later. Unfortunatley, this caused me to delete and redesign pieces of it over an over. The problem for me was, I was stuck on how to do the visual layout so at least all the game features were able to be tracked and it has little to no automation with the exception of the rolls.
Over the last few weeks I think I finally turned a corner and am making progress again so here is a screenshot of the latest iteration. Still have 'ALOT' to do!

Thanks to you and Dave for getting me this far and a bunch of others whose names unfortunately escape me at the moment. :D

Looks very interesting! Well, it's 12 years later, is there any work completed towards this effort that could be put to use or renewed?

Gunnar, I'd love to help you any way I can. I'm about to launch a Harnmaster game over FG and would love to use what you've got if you'd be willing to share your files. I can try my hand at this project from there.

One of the obstacles for sharing what little I have set up so far is that I also added in all the copyrighted information (like skill text details, etc). All of that would have to be stripped out before anything could be shared (just to have a base character sheet). The skill tests/checks are automatic but little else. One of the biggest obstacles I encountered was tracking 'Injury Levels'. That and the theme no longer works so that would need to be redone.
It's also only really been revisited by me a few times in the last several years. It would be essentially like starting from scratch again.

Copyright issues aren't a problem. I've been talking with Grant Dalgliesh at Columbia Games today. He's planning on tackling this project a few months from now, but is starting from zero. He's given me the green light to get things going in the meantime. FYI, I'm the designer of the war-games "Hammer of the Scots," "Crusader Rex," and "Richard III," all published by Columbia Games. I'll have Grant shoot you a permission statement.

I just went ahead and PM'ed you my email address and we'll go from there.
EDIT: I got your email and have sent the character sheet I was working on. Hope it's helpful.

Just got Harnmaster via Columbia Games recent kickstarter. Very interested to see how this project progresses on FG. Just wanted to let you know GunnarGreybeard, your work is appreciated.

Thanks! Hopefully Columbia Games will step up and put the resources into making a dedicated ruleset (i.e., an actual developer).

So, I've been watching some video and reading "how to posts" and I decided to dive back into working on an actual HârnMaster 3 Ruleset (built on MoreCore). Rather than having a player needing to load a generic MoreCore character sheet load and manually edit the different fields/section headings, I'm diving in to tweak/adjust the underlying code. This allows most of the work needed to build a PC to be done on loading the sheet rather than being done manually by the player. There would still be a good amount of information to enter but it will cut down on work needed to 'prep' the character sheet layout.
Hopefully I can make it work like I envision without getting me over my head in coding stuff. I'll post more as I progress.

Are you using Warflail's 5e conversion stuff or just running a D&D5e game set in Hârn? I've been running my own homebrew using 5e (limited races and classes) as well as custom created monsters to fit HârnWorld for about a year now.
For building an actual, functioning HârnMaster 3 Ruleset using MoreCore, I have given that project up for the time being as I started getting to far in over my technical abilities.

Thanks for reply....I really just want to use the HARN environment...the maps....the medieval sense and core writings...not overly keen about the combat system so may well revert at some stage to 5E.....I once dabbled in Rolemaster so could conceivably use that system also....I am an older player with time on hands and just enjoying getting into HARN.... (Never actually played it)...
Your further thoughts or advice would be welcome...

You can use any system in the HârnWorld setting, but none are really going to replicate HârnMaster. IMHO, D&D5e is actually terrible at it, even with lots of optional rules to try and make it 'gritty'. My next HârnWorld game based will likely be a Savage Worlds one, probably set in Chybisa.

Hello, is this project still alive? I'm currently playing FGU in Harnworld, but importing HarnMaster is a big dream for me.

You probably want to contact this guy --> greybeardgunner70 (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?67113-LFP-Need-1-2-THUs-7-11pm-EST-HarnMaster-Campaign). He's been using Psicodelix' Ruleset Wizard to create his own Harnmaster ruleset.
