Hey, I'm looking to start a game where the main focus is political intrigue in any system
I by no means want to be the GM. But I will gladly help out with designing the world, factions etc.

Some useful links:

You may find this resource worth looking at: Republic a pay-what-you-want adaptation of the GUMSHOE rules system to political intrigue (whereas it's normally keyed to investigations).

From the description:

Republic is a setting-less framework that adapts GUMSHOE to games about politics and intrigue. It is equally suitable for games about high politics, as well as seedy plots, and treacherous conspiracies. Like GUMSHOE does with investigations, Republic makes the game about the characters’ methods and roads to power, rather than simple success and failure.

You can ignore the rules if you want and cherry pick what you find useful, such as:

"Advice on how to make interesting stories about politics"
"Instructions on how to make a politics-driven campaign"

Political intrigue can make for an interesting game. Few RPG rules that I can think of have formally supported it. Some settings (Vampire the Masquerade, classic) had intrigue baked into the setting material. No doubt more ground can be broken here.
