Hey folks Im looking for some really good addons for my starfinder campaign namely enemy tokens, maps and starship maps. I need at least one map of a crashed ship, some planetary maps of a generic jungle sci fi world, some maps for highly technological sci fi world. I would appreciate any suggestions as looking through the shop takes a bit of time.

I'm not sure how many SciFi maps there are in the FG store, you're probably going to have to get maps externally and load them in your campaign (after sizing appropriately for Fantasy Grounds - approx 1MB in file size or less and no bigger than 2048x2048 pixels).

For generic SciFi maps I like Heroic Maps: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/5371/Heroic-Maps/subcategory/10143_22733/SciFi

Miska Fredman also does some very nice hand drawn SciFi maps. He has a few crashed spaceship maps. Contribute to his Patreon for just one month and you'll get access to his archive of approx. 200 maps: https://www.patreon.com/miskasmaps/overview If you like them, continue to support him on Patreon!

For tokens look at Sci-Fi tokens in the store: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/?page=1&typ=11&sort=1&search=sci Also the modern and shadowpunk tokens: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/?sys=-1&pub=-1&typ=11&search=punk&sort=1

You can also get some Sci-Fi tokens for free from Devin Night's website: https://immortalnights.com/tokensite/?post_type=product The Space Opera ones are cool - quite a few community members contributed to Devin making these Star Wars type characters: https://immortalnights.com/tokensite/?product=space-opera-do-not-add-to-the-shopping-cart (use the Google link).

I use a graphics app. GIMP is powerful (and free). You can do both resizing of large maps (Image -> Scale Image), and creation of maps from tiles. Info on tiles here: https://rmvxace.fandom.com/wiki/Combining_Tiles_in_Gimp

You'll want to export as a JPG file (once you've resized to 2048x2048 pixels or less - essentially 4.2 million pixels or less in total). The number of pixels in an image directly affect how much memory FG uses - FG Classic (the current version) is a 32-bit application, so it has limited memory , even if your computer has lots of free memory. It's OK having one or two images a little larger than this, for regional maps or a single big dungeon/encounter area - but you should try to get the vast majority of your maps to 4.2 million pixels or less (2048x2048).

For image file size, when you click the "Export" button on the "Export Image" window you'll be prompted for the Quality level and some advanced options. Start with Quality of around 70 - if your maps file size on disk comes out above 1MB reduce the quality (if that doesn't degrade the image too much). In the end, the 1MB file size guidelines only effects how long it will take to share with your players - if it's above 1MB it can take quite a while. So if you can't get the file size down below 1MB without the visual quality degrading too much, it's fine having it above 1MB - get it as close as you can. Further options for reducing file size are mentioned here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?47263-Any-suggestions-for-JPG-compression
