We moved into our RV and travel the country doing contract hospital jobs. I'm the DM and have been trying to figure out what the exact issue is with my inability to host. I don't have a router to mess with, running off a Verizon mobile network / net access device I plug into a USB port in my laptop.

Anyone playing under similar circumstances? Am I missing a static IP? Is there a hidden firewall built into the hot spot network software? Do I need to go with a port forwarder?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You generally can't do port forwarding with a mobile hot spot. So you'll need to look into one of these options: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?43607-Port-Forward-Alternatives

I used PureVPN (you'll need their dedicated IP address add on) to use a mobile hotspot - info here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?20160-Using-a-VPN-Service-Provider-to-get-around-port-forwarding-issues

I occasionally have to use a hot spot, when I do I have to use my PureVPN account. No problem when I do.

Thank you kindly for the responses. Looks like I know what to look into now to make this work.
