View Full Version : Lost Sounds In Fantasy Grounds

I was prepping my game for next week when I noticed that I have suddenly lost all my sound abilities in FG. I'm not sure if this is an FG or Syrinscape issue. I have the dulux-oz BASE and SOUND extensions installed (Latest versions as of today) and the Rob Twohy chat sounds trigger mod from DM's Guild. Sound is activated in FG. I'm pulling the sound from VAIO3 in Voicemeeter potato and the sounds play when I manually hit them in Syrinscape (as well as some other sound programs I'm using such as MusicBee and Ambient DM) - It just appears to be triggering from FG.

What gets me is that it all used to work fine and then all of a sudden - POOF - gone. :cry:

Any points in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. :D

That was it - I rolled back to 1.3.7 and it's all good now. Thanks! :)

In order for sounds to work someone needs to be joined to your game since the sound extension uses the chat to make the sounds. If no-one is joined to your game the chat isn't being broadcast anywhere. In order to test if sound is working create a second instance of FG and join your own game using localhost instead of the alias or IP address.

Standard sounds (i.e DOM Soundlink-Library Module) weren't working either. When I rolled back to the previous version of Syrinscape, they started working so I can (hopefully) assume that the chat sounds will work once I have players connected. :)

Its always a good idea to check the threads of the extension/s you’re using for potential issues, etc..
