View Full Version : Map Maker by One Page Gaming (Free FG Module Conversion)

Hey, everyone. I came across a really fun dungeon delve game a few weeks ago called Map Maker. It was a kickstarter from One Page Gaming that was completed last year. He just finished another one which I backed called Map Maker Adventures. Its a game that can be played with 1-4 players without a GM and takes about 30-60 min. Exactly what I was looking for. There are some times I want a game that is quick to set up and play with my girls and this fits the bill!

I stumbled across Robocoppa who created an Italian version in MoreCore. It inspired me to create an English version in MoreCore. After working on it for a while the first version is ready for primetime I think! The author was kind enough to give me permission to release the game for free on Fantasy Grounds. I also requested and received permission from Robocoppa to use the wonderful tokens he created for the game.

Update v1.1 - Corrected broken links reported in post #9. Corrected all pregens to show "XP" instead of "SP"

Update v1.2 - Corrected broken link to official rules and added more detail to the FG conversion notes and setup story entries after watching Rob2e's playthrough on youtube. I also linked my how to play youtube videos in the FG conversion notes entry.

Update V1.3- Updated character sheets to take advantage of more core automation and added reference manual. Added an entry for an fg full walk though on how to play but haven’t populated that yet.

This is AWESOME! ThanX Gwydion for making this available to the community, and it was nice of demont9 to make his game available to us for free. I am excited about my physical copy on its way here (only $9) and it will be cool to play on FG.

Hi,

I've not played anything outside of 5e and Savage Worlds. I'm not sure how to create a MoreCore campaign. I thought it was essentially the same as CoreRPG but the module doesn't show if I make my campaign with that ruleset.

Hi Garth

The module requires Morecore to the be the loaded ruleset for that campaign.
Have you downloaded Morecore. If so just use that as the ruleset. Then once the campaign is loaded you should find it in the modules.

I'm going through the rules now and I found a missing/broken image. On Story page 00.05.5, the image links 00.05.5 Fighter Attributes and 00.05.5 Fighter Attack Point produce an error. I checked for the image (09 Danger Boss) directly in the Images list and it doesn't work either.

Thanks for the hard work and bringing it to FG!

Just a quick note to say after digging into how much great stuff is in MoreCore, I'm updating the Map Maker mod to make it easier to use and take advantage of some of the great features built into MoreCore. I should have the update out this weekend. Stay tuned for anyone following this thread.

Added a reference manual using author extension and updated character sheet pregens to use more of the more core functionality.

However, has anybody encountered script errors when loading in Fantasy Grounds? I can't get the module to run in Fantasy Grounds using More Core. I get 2 script errors that prevents Map Maker from loading. It shows in my modules but that's about it. Any advice?

Hmm. Are you trying to open it in classic or unity? I know I haven’t updated it for unity so it probably won’t work there.
