Time Zone: Eastern Time USA

Day of week/Time: Tuesdays or Thursdays (TBD) – 7 pm to 10 pm will be standard session time

Planned Start Times/ Schedule: Plan is to have a Session 0 (which will be mandatory) on the prior day to Session 1 (which ever we decide it to be a Tues or Thurs). Actual start date is TBD, its based on how interest goes and then from there I’ll propose start dates to the players. Even if interest is very high I likely won’t start before Tues June 25th though…

Frequency: Weekly sessions

Term: Long Term/On-going

Text or Voice: Voice (Discord) (English Language)

Will this be recorded or streamed: No

Number of Players Needed: 4-5

**New Players and/or Veteran Players both welcome!!**

If interested please provide the following information, this helps to gauge interest and to recruit a balanced party.:

1) What night would you prefer our sessions to be on Tuesdays or Thursdays?

2) Please list your first name (Hey you can outright lie here how would I know? Just tell me what I can call you besides your character name).

3) List your first-class choice and a second-class choice you would like or be willing to play.

4) Have you played Water Deep: Dragon Heist or Dungeon of the Mad Mage (for 5e) yet? (If “Yes” – you are cool with the fact this game will include running both of those modules?)

5) List any other information you want me to know when considering your application for this campaign.

Character Starting Level and Equipment: 3rd level, straight 500 gp to buy equipment*
*Using the 500gp you ignore what any background selection grants you for starting equipment or what any class grants for starting equipment. Only STANDARD (non-magical) items allowed that are in the Player’s Handbook!

Character Restrictions (Read carefully these will be STRICTLY enforced): Use 27 point buy for attributes as listed on page 13 of the PHB; Can play any race/class that is published in the Player’s Handbook, Sword Coast Adventurers Guide (SCAG), Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, Volo’s Guide to Monsters. No evil alignments allowed

Summary of the Campaign: This game is called a Home brew “blend” because it blends original home brew content with officially published campaigns/modules – namely Water Deep: Dragon Heist and Dungeon of the Mad Mage to start. The versions of DH and DotMM will have changes from the original “retail” books. This game is very ambitious in size and scope, there’s plenty of content to keep us playing for a very long time. Beyond modified versions of DH and DotMM there’s of course the home brew content which includes a main story line meant to tie everything together.

My ambition is to take this campaign as long and as far as the players want it to go. I will continue to have home brew story hooks lead into published modules (and perhaps vice versa). The published modules will NOT be 100% as written they will have modifications to them, though depending on which ones we hook into some may be more modified than others (I do this because its what I enjoy, and it also keeps players who played the module before on their toes as well).
This game is going to be about 95% 5e RAW but there are some home brew modifications as well (this will be discussed during Session 0), I state this in the event you are a purist type of player that only wants 100% RAW in your games.

Hi I'd like to play.
Thursdays are good for me
Jerrie
Bard or Cleric / Goblin or Gnome
Haven't played it, I know nothing.
My style of play is very character-centric, I never have to be told to role play.

Thank you all for showing your interest, I do appreciate it. My style with recruiting for a new game is I like to at least give a couple days from the initial recruitment post to see the full extent of interest in the game first. I then generally start contacting folks via the board's PM function.

I’m in if you’ll have me again.

Ben, Thursday works for me. I was thinking of playing a warlock or a rogue. Haven’t played either.

2) Please list your first name (Hey you can outright lie here how would I know? Just tell me what I can call you besides your character name).

Cleveland

3) List your first-class choice and a second-class choice you would like or be willing to play.

Tempest Cleric or Mage

4) Have you played Water Deep: Dragon Heist or Dungeon of the Mad Mage (for 5e) yet? (If “Yes” – you are cool with the fact this game will include running both of those modules?)

No I have not played those modules.

5) List any other information you want me to know when considering your application for this campaign.

I'm an old school 2nd edition player, but I have been playing 5e for almost 6 months now. I'm also new to FG, but I've learned quite a bit about FG in the 2 months I've used it. I love role playing not just in combat, but also in all aspects of playing DnD.

1) Thursday
2) Cameron
3) Happy to play any class, to fill in whatever the party is missing
4) I have not played those modules
5) I've been playing regularly for about a year. A group of friends wanted to start a game and nominated me the GM (we were all new). I've been looking for a second game to join as a player.

1) Prefer Tuesdays.

2) Call me Jon. :)

3) Half-Orc Rogue (never actually played one, but a menacing lawful-good thief working for the local law enforcement could be interesting) or Gnome Bard (Wielder of the Spoons, Vanquisher of the Invisible Tickle Monster, Lore-Breather, and Squirrel Whisperer, "Tumbly" is a free-spirited neutral good trying to make the world a better place. Many opportunities for hilarity and definitely OP :p).

4) Have played neither Water Deep: Dragon Heist nor Dungeon of the Mad Mage (for 5e) yet. Mostly homebrew experience (Played 2-years, DM'd 1-year campaign, playing fast/loose with rules, I have SO much left to learn.

5) I have only played dnd in-person, so this is my first time using discord or fantasy grounds. Will certainly need some coaching, but excited to learn. Also, I'm in AZ where daylight savings... isn't a thing? So... yeah...

1) Thursdays

2) Jared

3) Elf Forge Cleric, Human Abjuration Wizard, or Tiefling Conquest Paladin

4) No, but I know the general hooks of Heist

5) My Wednesdays are booked, so I hope we could move the session 0 if I'm selected. I hope to learn the ins and outs of Fantasy Grounds with a campaign. I hope to have my own campaigns ready by the time Fantasy Grounds Unity is out.

1) Either Night is fine

2) Denver

3) I like to play tactical tanks in heavy combat games, in heavy RP games I tend towards wiz/rogue.
(I can and will play any role the party needs)

4) I have not played either

5) I have been playing since the early 90's and I am now 41..but I am new to fantasy grounds. Looking forward to finding a good group to join. Please let me know if you still have any spots available

If you are still considering spots I'm game

1.) Either night is fine.

2.) Raven is fine.

3.) I have played neither campaign.

4.) I am on eastern time as well so I shouldn't have any problems in that area, but I am new to fantasygrounds play so I may needs some time to get acclimated to the system.

This game looks like an absolute blast! Please let me know if there are no spots left.

1) I would personally prefer Thursday nights, but I can do either one.
2) The name's Zach!
3) I'm willing to play any class, but my first and second picks are Rogue/Barb (multiclass) and a wizard, respectively.
4) No, I have not! I used to run some homebrew content over Roll20, and I haven't ever really read the major modules.
5) I really enjoy all aspects of DnD 5e. I'll be enthralled with whatever you throw at me, be it combat or RP. It is super rewarding to play with a group who are playing to help eachother have fun.

I can't emphasize enough how much I would like to join your game. Thanks!

1) What night would you prefer our sessions to be on Tuesdays or Thursdays?
I'm only available on Tuesday. :(

2) Please list your first name (Hey you can outright lie here how would I know? Just tell me what I can call you besides your character name).
You can just call me Hue.

3) List your first-class choice and a second-class choice you would like or be willing to play.
I've been wanting to try attempting a minmaxing warlock/rogue multiclass.
If not that then I'd like to try my hand at a warlock/paladin/bard multiclass.

4) Have you played Water Deep: Dragon Heist or Dungeon of the Mad Mage (for 5e) yet? (If “Yes” – you are cool with the fact this game will include running both of those modules?)
I have never played either of those.

5) List any other information you want me to know when considering your application for this campaign.
I'm not a "role player" per se. I just sort of always describe what my character is doing or saying. I have had groups in the past where this was a turnoff for them. Sorry in advance. :(
I'm very new to the game and even newer still to FG (I just bought it 2 days ago) so expect some technical difficulties from me when I'm trying to sort my way through things. I can create a character easily and I have a working knowledge of the program but I don't know how to do anything special yet. For instance, my way of doing sneak attack was adding in a weapon from the items, then changing its name to Sneak Attack. Then adding in modifiers until it was +0 and changing the hit die into what I wanted for Sneak Attack. Then I'd double click it to roll for Sneak Attack. I'm sure there's a better way. I also just recently got into attempting to use Effects in the Actions tab for /rest things like Action Surge. Still haven't gotten it all figured out yet but I'm working on it slowly.

1) Either day works for me, but I prefer Tuesdays.

2) Name’s Andrew, nice to meet you.

3) Monk first, Cleric second. Really, I just fill what the party needs.

4) I have DM’d Dragon Heist before, been wanting to use some of the stuff from Mad Mage. Fun set of adventures.

5) I’m usually the forever DM in my group but love to play when I get the chance. Usually the comedic relief.

Thanks for the consideration.

Greetings!

I would be interested to play in this campaign if still available, the following is provided:

1) What night would you prefer our sessions to be on Tuesdays or Thursdays?

Tuesday, but I can play on Thursday

2) Please list your first name (Hey you can outright lie here how would I know? Just tell me what I can call you besides your character name).

Bruce, but I have many aliases ........ :bandit:

3) List your first-class choice and a second-class choice you would like or be willing to play.

I typically play a melee type so fighter/pally, but I have been known to do the rogue/bard thing.

4) Have you played Water Deep: Dragon Heist or Dungeon of the Mad Mage (for 5e) yet? (If “Yes” – you are cool with the fact this game will include running both of those modules?)

I am currently DMing a party through those adventures, I have read Dragon Heist but not the second one, I am very good at not using player knowledge to influence character actions though

As for additional info; I am dedicated to being at the table on time and ready to go, I don't miss sessions, I love to RP and well, kill things too. I am not a rules lawyer or power player. I like to create characters and allow them to grow with the party.

Anyway, if you are full, good luck, have fun and tell a great tale.

1) What night would you prefer our sessions to be on Tuesdays or Thursdays? Thursday works best for me, but either is good

2) Please list your first name (Hey you can outright lie here how would I know? Just tell me what I can call you besides your character name). Dan

3) List your first-class choice and a second-class choice you would like or be willing to play. Paladin 1st choice (neutral) or a Ranger

4) Have you played Water Deep: Dragon Heist or Dungeon of the Mad Mage (for 5e) yet? (If “Yes” – you are cool with the fact this game will include running both of those modules?) No, never before, getting back into D&D after 30 years

5) List any other information you want me to know when considering your application for this campaign. Been playing on FG for about 2(?) months....and RP games since the 80's (like early days....81 or so) then RL took over and took a break, now I'm back. Thanks for the opportunity

1) What night would you prefer our sessions to be on Tuesdays or Thursdays? Either is fine with me.

2) Please list your first name (Hey you can outright lie here how would I know? Just tell me what I can call you besides your character name). Marty

3) List your first-class choice and a second-class choice you would like or be willing to play. My first class choice will be a Fighter with Mage as second though I will probably blend the two for character background purposes.

4) Have you played Water Deep: Dragon Heist or Dungeon of the Mad Mage (for 5e) yet? (If “Yes” – you are cool with the fact this game will include running both of those modules?) I have not played either.

5) List any other information you want me to know when considering your application for this campaign. I am new to Fantasy Grounds but not new to gaming. I am 43 and have been playing since I was about 8. I primarily GM but do enjoy to play with a good group. I really enjoy getting into the history of the world as well as the people in it. Its about having fun and enjoying each others company while building lifelong memories..

Hey If there are any available spots still open I am interested.

1) What night would you prefer our sessions to be on Tuesdays or Thursdays? I am flexible, wither work

2) Please list your first name (Hey you can outright lie here how would I know? Just tell me what I can call you besides your character name). Chris

3) List your first-class choice and a second-class choice you would like or be willing to play. First choice would be a rouge that is neutral. The second would be a fighter/druid, going for more of an animal lover than actual Druid. So could be fighter ranger.

4) Have you played Water Deep: Dragon Heist or Dungeon of the Mad Mage (for 5e) yet? (If “Yes” – you are cool with the fact this game will include running both of those modules?) Have not played the modules.

5) List any other information you want me to know when considering your application for this campaign. I have been playing tabletops games for about 10 years and my last group split because new military orders, new jobs with different work schedules and such. I am looking forward to finding a new group that will grow into to some new friendships to last the years.
