Pretty new to FG and very new to GM'ing in FG, so I'm out of my depth trying to get ready for my first game as GM.
A PC has the elemental adept feat for lightening that gives 2 bonuses I'm trying to code into his PC:
1. the PC ignores lightening damage resistance, if the target has it
2. lightening damage from his spells, if a 1 is rolled, it becomes a 2
What I'm trying to do is code these into shocking grasp spell. I assume the effect would be applied to the PC token (but If I've got this wrong, ready to listen).
I opened up the default shocking grasp spell and added an effect that reads:
IFT: DMG(<2); DMG: 1
Duration, I set as 1 day (not sure that it matters)
Targeting, I set as "Self," Expend? "Never"
I've fooled around with so many permutations of this (targeting the target, IF instead of IFT, etc.) and I can't find a way to make this work.
I seem to either get, no bonuses or it adds 1 to all the roles.
Any ideas?
And I've not even got to the part about ignoring a target's lightening resistance, so if anyone has ideas on that, I'm listening.
Thank you!
