Demo For Shadowrun

Is there a way to demo fantasy grounds for Shadowrun? I was a player on roll20 for shadowrun but the GM just decided to quit so now some of the group asked me to be the new GM. I was thinking about roll20.net again but I am also joining a game of D&D 5.0 that is going to use fantasy grounds. So I thought maybe I would evaluate FG but it is hard for me to see how to use it for anything right now but D&D fantasy type games. If it works I would purchase the Ultimate subscriptions so my players could be just use the demo but right now I am having a hard time seeing how shadowrun and different rulesets fit in... Also if it works well, I would love to help write a ruleset for the SR6 which is what we are planning on using...

Ok, so SR can be done on FG, but you will have to create almost all the assets. As far as the characters, its easy enough to create modules for them and NPCs. The real problem will be in Copyright issues. But if you use all new (not SR licences assets) it would not be that hard.

So first, you can download and install the app and just not put in a license code. You will then be in demo mode, which I believe allows one player to connect, but you will be unable to save anything in the campaign you create.

You will then want to use either CoreRPG or download the community ruleset MoreCore https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?34860-MoreCore-Ruleset. (Or the the older SR4 ruleset https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/Ruleset:_Shadowrun).

Then you can play around with creating a character sheet in the ruleset that has the attributes, fields and rolls you desire. Don't spend excessive amounts of time trying to figure out things yourself. Check out FG College, the User Manual, and the threads I linked to, and ask when you are stuck and before you get frustrated.
