I have built a basic Doctor Who RPG ruleset extension for the Cubicle 7 RPG.
This system is on sale right now (as at todays date: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/promo.php)

One Raz Kabooz has uploaded some instruction on how to use the ruleset below.
Basically you select all of your skills, traits and equipment (these are mods so select them first) and then roll on your Attribute and the system will report the success vs a standard difficulty of 12. You can change the difficulty of that one roll by adjusting the 12 in the Attributes field to the appropriate number and it will roll with the new target difficulty and then reset the difficulty back to 12.
Raz Kabooz has also prepped 2 pregens and put together a module with Traits, Skills, Gears here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?49061-Doctor-Who-RPG-by-Cubicle-7&p=435859

Yes indeed! Damned has done Fantastic work on this extension!

The Basic Rule Allons-y! (Attribute + Skill (+Trait/Stuff) + Two Six Sided Dice = Result) that includes the level of success works awesome!

On the Character Sheet the GM or Player sets the difficulty (the default/reset is 12):

Then you tick the associate Skill and an appropriate Trait and/or Stuff:

Fantastic work guys!!! One thing, you want to update to the newest Morecore, I didn't see it was updated and was having issues with Dr Who until I did! I was playing around with this game, even made a bunch of tokens for Doctors and Companions, but this is soooo much better than what I got done ... looking forward to playing this!!!

I created a very basic module to get started having the twelve Skills, with even more Traits and a few items (Stuff). Once the module is opened in the Library the rolls will show in the Roll Tab and can be individually pulled onto the character sheet. The rolls have no descriptive text other than its title and type with the modifier value. The Skills are set at zero and can be adjusted on the character sheet. Additional Traits, Stuff and Specialties can be easily added!

I list Traits and Stuff without numeric modifiers on the MoreData and Inventory tabs of the character sheet.

The Fourth incarnation of The Doctor, currently between Companions, is feeling a bit lonely and seeking a bit of company for a day's holiday on the Spanish island of Lanzarote. Bending the rules of causality he decides to pay a visit to the Companions of his future selves (the Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors) and takes them on a short trip. The Doctor assures you this won't cause any problems.

"Its all timey whimey as you know and the beaches on the island are wonderful this time of year. Besides, at the very worse we'll just wake up afterwards with a slight headache remembering nothing. It's all perfectly safe and nothing to worry about, -pause I'm pretty sure. Would you like a Jelly Baby?"

Players choose one of the following Companions to play: Mickey Smith, Professor River Song, Clara Oswald, Captain Jack Harkness, Jenny Flint, Petronella Osgood or Strax.

Louise Jameson aka Leela is currently on stage at the The Park Theatre, London until June 22nd. There's still time to get that selfie Hector and your much needed cosplay advise!

You humans are very weak and fleshy, easily crumble from the slightest push and burn much too easily when thrown into a fire pit. However, I quite enjoyed my holiday even if I didn't get a chance to wrestle with a shark. Though next time we enter a temple with chanting I recommend that I make a frontal assault before everyone else comes in, I'm quite certain I can keep the casualties down to a respectable 80% in most situations.

When reloading the MoreCore DW module, the attributes on both the character and adversary sheets default to include an "A" before the attribute's name otherwise the Attributes will repopulate with the attributes listing the "A". Is there a way to modify the attributes removing the "A"?

Hey Raz

I believe that I added the A so that they would all stay together on mixed lists.
Now its possible that in a later revision all Attributes ended up in their own list so they didnt need to be grouped again...
However the NPCs only have a single list so they need the A...

If you delete one of the starting Rolls, or rename one, the original one will be re-added next time you open the character sheet in a new session.
So... I need to know what the best naming for the Rolls should be - bearing both PCs and NPCs in mind.

Yes I can Story Points to Adversaries...
I will do that once you confirm the other.

Hi Damned, I believe you are correct.


However the NPCs only have a single list so they need the A...
I sort of remember the attributes being named this way to ensure that the Extended Conflict Actions (initiatives) remained at the top of the adversary sheet.

Bearing if renaming the attributes for the characters will not conflict with the NPCs that will be great, otherwise, no worries.


Yes I can Story Points to Adversaries...
Alternatively, if its too cumbersome for the Adversary sheet, is there a Story Point feature currently built in? I would like the ability to spend Story Points as the GM that show in the chat as they do for the PCs.

Hello all. New to the thread, but have started reading about this game and find it quite exciting. I am an old school RPGer, have played D&D/Pathfinder for over 40 years and also play Starfinder. I started playing D&D when I was 12, the same year I discovered Dr Who (Tom Baker will ALWAYS be my Doctor).

Anywho, I was wondering if you all still played a Dr Who campaign? With COVID keeping so many of us at home, I am doing a LOT of VTT these days, but would absolutely love to dip my toes into this game. I understand it is NOT a combat heavy or focused game, but it would be nice to take a trip in the old TARDIS; maybe I can catch a glimpse of Sarah Jane?

Let me know if anyone is still playing and would be willing to give this old fan a chance to play this game.

Hey guys!! Any chance you plan on doing a sheet and roll automations for The Tardis Sheet and console rolls? Having a sheet that automates the console and travel rules would be awesome! as well as automation and tables for the regen chart. I dont know if this is a thing that can be done or is worth doing. But it seems to me like it would be super useful! thanks for all the great work!!!

Hello, excuse me, I'm a newbie, I've donwloaded the morecore ruleset, the drwho ext and the rolls mod but, when I try to create a PC, only the attributes appears, there are no skill and no slots to add traits

From memory this will create stat's but every thing else will be unique to your character and you will add manually. It's been a long time since I did this so I don't recall specifics. I think it's a dice pool building game so you click on everything that you can use in the situation and then throw a fistful of dice.

I dont think so! Despite 5E and Call of Cthulhu and CyberPunk Red bringing in lots of younger players, I reckon the average age is closer to 50 than anything else. Never forget the child within!

This gives me an error when I tried starting it up, and when loaded the sidebar was missing. I believe the core update may have broken it :)

I'll start by saying that I could very well be doing something wrong. I just realized this existed, and thought it would be cool to use as I got one of the starter sets some time back. I'm using FGU with this information about MoreCore and the Doctor Who extension.

I also loaded the Tom Baker xml character in to look around. Once I figured out the stacking modifiers, performing manual rolls seemed to make sense. I believe then you finish it off by clicking the die icon up on one of the attributes to perform the actual roll.

Doing that though, gives me the following error.

If I take a look at the makeup of the roll I see the following.

If I then make the same selections of Skills, Traits, and Stuff then manually perform the roll in chat, it works.

Am I doing something wrong?

I have never played it but I believe that is what you do and yes that is referencing a deprecated command. I will update it this week and post back here.

No. But the good news is there's nothing to update. 2e is pretty much the same system as 1e as far as the actual gameplay is concerned.

Issues I am having.
(a)When I open a character sheet I get an error.
(b)When I want to give a new picture for a character I get a freeze when I double click on the portrait box.
(I had to get round this by just dragging a pic from assets to the appropriate position)
(And whne I did get the portrait box to open ,it was the old style interface ,not the new interface that gives portrait/2d/3d.

The module with Rolls seems all Ok ,I think.
And I have imported the 3 characters as pictured.

Maybe a slight update is required.
Thank you for making this available.
Really only just tried the ruleset.
I have got some extensions ,but I dont think they are causing problem.

Hope you can have a look at this.
