Just tinkering with some 3D renders of some World War II vehicles and attempted to make some to scale tokens, with a scale of 5ft to 50 pixels.

I made tokens of the turrets and hulls so that you could turn the turrets.

I think the title says it all. :)

It is great to see some none-fantasy tokens, especially since I am just starting to draft on my WW II campaign again.

ATM I am focusing mostly on fighter planes and the like in preparation, but I will post progress made into this thread if that is okay?

Sure no problem at all. Have you seen what I have been working on for my World War II stuff? It might be helpful for you?

I've not really done anything about planes..... yet..... and currently I am reviewing all of the character classes to update feats, etc. Where are you getting your pilot character class from? I made one, but I am not happy with it.

Wow Taliz, never looked at your site before, but your sutff for a WWII game is very nice...makes me want to get in on a game!

oh and the tokens seriously rock!

Awesome tokens, Tailz!

I figure a destroyed M1A1 can't be far behind. ;)

I did start on building a rule set for FG a while ago - the fellow who was cutting the code didn't want to write all the code and then have to write it all again when 2.0 came out.... and since we have been hanging out for a while, the project kinda died.

Most of the templete graphics are done.

The M1A1 might be a few days away, just changed to a new graphics card and my 3D rendering software has spat the dummy over it. I'm not going to get much of a chance to fiddle with my machine till the weekend - then I can tweek the settings.

Plus the fire effect is kinda lame, I just airbrushed some red color on a spot over the rendered model for fire and then some grey and white stuff for smoke.... just looks odd to me.

Apart from the tanks and other vehicles, I plan to do 3D models of people (civies and infantry) in different poses and all to the scale of 5ft to 50 pixels. Along with 3D models of the maps at the same scale - that why I can render "mood" photos of the areas to display to players that directly relate to the maps, because they are rendered from the maps. But thats a long while off while there is no WWII rule set to go with it.

rpgmapshare.com has a lot of fire, explosion, and smoke effect graphics that you can use to spruce up the wrecks. Nearly all the graphics there are free to use for personal or commercial projects (the exception would be things like Star Wars-related images).
