Background size

Hi, I am creating a complete custom ruleset for FG.
I want to change the background image. I have a set picture I want to use so I don't want to it tile.

So any ideas on the ideal size of the image.

I use 1289x1719 for mine. The problem with an attractive large desktop background is the size of the image that then has to be downloaded by your players - but of course, they only do this once.

Thanks for that - i am planning on distributing the files by ftp to my players - so they only have to get the tokens - I am creating a complete custom game.

We play a game a friend of mine created and its not really d20 but based on using a d20 -

I believe the background is tiled to the size of whatever screen is viewing it. So if someone has a larger screen setting than the file you choose, it will tile on their screen.

Also I think if its smaller it will only show a portion of the original image.
