View Full Version : How can I modify a weapon to roll 3x on a crit instead of 2x?

My DM just gave me a homebrew weapon that has an effect that allows me to roll all the damage dice 3x instead of the regular 2. Is there any way I can modify the weapon in Fantasy Ground to add this effect?

For example, crit from a greatsword (2d6) would be 6d6 instead of 4d6.

Please and thank you!

Hi infi welcome to FG.

Can you explain further? Do you mean 3x on a critical instead of double or do you mean a weapon that does 2d6 damage and you can now do 3d6? Or when exactly are you able to roll 3 dice instead of 2.

EDIT: Ok, I replied before you edited your post.

There are two ways you can do this. First you can click the magnifying glass at the top of the weapon section of the action tab and add a 1 into the critical box under melee. The other method is to add an effect to your actions tab if DMG: 1d6 melee, critical.

In the first case this would give you an extra dice on a critical on any weapon. In the second case you can apply the effect whenever you are using the weapon that gives you the extra dice.
