Hi folks,

as the title says, im looking for an adventure (preferably a module, but if needed i can convert it myself) to play with a group of 4 players who are new to d&D. I looked at the starter set but that one seems way to long, is possible i'd be looking for something around 4h playtime.

I love the Impenetrable Fortress of Dib (or at least the concept of it, have never actually played it.). You would have to convert it yourself.

I thought that little adventure was part of Prepared! (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/product.php?id=KPFG5EKPPREPARED5E)? Which is available for Fantasy Grounds.

Lost Mind of Phandelver (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/product.php?id=WOTC5ELMOP) is pretty widely considered the best for introducing both new players and new DMs to 5e. It is also an extremely fun adventure with many different paths. You can play it four or five times and not get to the end the same way. It does take more than 4 hours though, you are correct.

My favorite has long been the sunless citadel (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/product.php?id=WOTC5ETYP), but that's possibly because I got to be one of the official playtesters of it with Chris Simms as my DM when it was first being written by WotC for 3e (our Meepo died, but we didn't kill him). I've used it to introduce players to 5e and it still works great for the job. So many fun roleplaying opportunities and again, lots of ways to get to the end if you play it more than once. This also takes more than 4 hours.

Recently I've found Hunted! on the DM's Guild (https://www.dmsguild.com/product/221090/Hunted-Fantasy-Grounds) and it is a great adventure for new players. I used it as a one-off adventure (https://gavinruneblade.wordpress.com/2018/12/28/one-off-adventure-hunted/)(warning, that session zero link is safe but there are spoilers in this session review (https://gavinruneblade.wordpress.com/2019/01/03/hunted-the-session-review/)) when my regular game missed a session and people had a blast with it. The final encounter needs a little extra oomph but overall tons of fun. If you want any of those pre-generated characters from the session zero link let me know. They might use products you don't have but I can find a way to re-work them into players handbook only characters without losing too much. This is probably your best bet for a fast game.

I have not yet had a chance to try the Claws of Madness (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/product.php?id=LSP5ELORE0001) with a group, but I've read through it and run it solo and it is awesome. I plan to use it as my next one-off. I'm not sure on the time for this adventure as my solo game was intentionally slower than a party would run through it.
