View Full Version : Multiplying a die roll.

Basically, the title kind of says it all. I know there are halves and such, based on effects. But if we want to multiple a basic die roll, can we? Let's say I want to roll 2D10 and multiply by 3? I think the 5E set has some effects, but can we change the multiplier on a roll on the fly?

I tried to see if we can do anything other than + or - in the Modifier field, but it looks like it is just locked to those. A little toggle to change between + or - and * or ? would be great.

Is there a way to do this with the /die command? I have tried multiple iterations, with and without parenthesis (it really doesn't like parenthesis), using X or *, etc.... no luck.

Is this just not possible?

You can get double the value by right clicking over the result in chat and selecting double. But there's not a way to get more than that - at least not automatically.

The DORCore Ruleset (basically the CoreRPG plus all the DOEs, and some extras "on top") can do what you want - plus a whole lot more.

Ok, first then.... does that exist within the Call of Cthulhu 7e rules?

Second, if so, how do I do it?

DORCore is a ruleset so that isn't in the Call of Cthulhu ruleset.
