question about character creation...

Hello, I am new to FG and am trying to create a D&D and Starfinder characters. When I go to classes on the D&D classes screen the only choices are cleric,fighter,rouge and wizard, which I have not seen anyone play since the late 90s. Is there a way to create a paladin, ranger, monk on any of the classes in 5e

I have the hard and digital copies of the 5e WOC handbooks, will I need to re-buy the versions sold by FG? Or can I plug in he information from the books?

also in the classes selection, no half-elf?

Hi.

By itself Fantasy Grounds comes with the D&D basic rules and SRD. It is playable but limited to what is in those rules.

In order to use the Players Handbook only classes you will need to purchase the Players Handbook module or add everything yourself (which is a lot of work).

If you are interested in giving a go at class data entry this is a link to a tutorial on class creation for 5E.

Also, if you do choose that option some advice, create a single development campaign where you do all your classes, races, backgrounds, etc. Then export them to a module and use that module in a live campaign. Do any future mods in the development so that you only need to load one module to have all your custom stuff.

actually after i typed in the ranger manually it appeared in the library.. so it must have been in the database but not visible until activated. The rest followed, as i typed in an area to start to fill out the information the open windows would populate with the information.

Now my question is how do I load my beast, do I create a character sheet for her or is there a "familiar/Companion" sheet?
