Will this be recorded and/or live streamed? Yes. Recorded and released as a weekly podcast on YouTube called 'The Dragon Between Podcast', and eventually in a pure audio format on other platforms. You can search for the podcast on YouTube if you wish to listen in and decide if the group is right for you.
If so, do you want webcam video from players or not? Not necessary, but subject to change.
Other details: There are potentially two groups in the works.
Roleplay & Combat mix: 50/50, with ample time given to role play
Number of Players in game & needed: We have six players currently in one group. We are planning on splitting into two separate adventuring groups. A minimum of four players per group is needed.
Character starting level & equipment: 3rd level with 1 rare magic item under 4K.
Character restrictions: Only core races and classes from officially released 5E products. No Unearthed Arcana or homebrewed rules will be allowed without vetting from the GM.
Details of your scenario: "The groups will be adventuring in Sharn, the City of Towers. It has been four years since the end of the conflict known as 'The Last War'. The nations of Khorvaire live in peace...for now. However, the threat of a new war is always looming. Greedy factions take advantage of the desperate and the weak minded, and old enemies plot from the shadows..."
Podcast Rules & Regulations
Podcast Guest/Cast Member Expectations:
• A 'Podcast Guest/Cast Member Release Form' must be filled out, signed, and e-mailed to the Dungeon Master (DM) prior to participating in the campaign.
• All attendance issues should be communicated with the DM a minimum of twenty-four hours in advance. An absent player does not gain experience points, but you may complete downtime activities depending on the length of time. Absent player experience points will be divided among the party evenly.
• Podcast Guests/Cast Members are expected to act professionally during each session and follow the rules of conduct detailed below.
Character Creation:
• You may take the standard array for stats: 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8
• OR use point buy: all stats start at 8, with 27 points to spend on increasing stats. 20 is the max that a stat can be without magical assistance. You may not increase a stat beyond 20 through leveling.
• Only race selections from the officially released Eberron campaign setting for 5E are available. Race selections that do not typically appear in Eberron may be included after vetting by the DM.
• All classes currently available for 5E are allowed. No Unearthed Arcana or homebrewed content will be allowed, except for the Artificer class. Previously released Eberron content will be allowed after being vetted by the DM and approved by the entire group through voting.
• NO inherently Evil characters are allowed.
Player (Podcast Guest/Cast Member) Conduct:
• All players are encouraged to stay in character when communicating with other players during the session. Please keep all unrelated conversations out of the sessions.
• Please refrain from role playing “outside” of the game with other players during the session.
• Please respect your fellow players and refrain from talking over them.
• Please refrain from using player knowledge during the session. Character knowledge only.
• All questions regarding DM rulings should be whispered to the DM through Discord.
• This is a PG-13 campaign, filled with violence and mature themes. Please keep the language and conversation somewhat clean.
While thinking of backstories for your characters, please take into consideration why your character is adventuring in Sharn. Full character backstories should be completed and turned in to the DM prior to starting in the campaign.
