Probably not; getting it to run at all on a tablet would be your first major issue. I understand that it can be installed on some Windows based tablets, but how effective it is I don't know.

I use mine on a Windows Surface 2018 model. It works really well, but I wouldn't want to try it without a mouse. There's lots of right clicking that you will find unpleasant without a mouse.

Just want it so that a player can access their character sheet. I think it should be okay for that.

You will find that if they want to interact with the sheet, make attacks, skill checks, etc. this is much easier with a mouse.
