Let's say I have created "My table" with 20 entries, numbered from 1 to 20, so by default it will use a d20.

In another table, I can have only one line to force a certain number of rolls for "My Table", using "[4x]My Table", populating a parcel, for example.

is there is anyway I can write that single line table entry to ask the roll in "My Table" to not use d20 but a d12 for example?

Drag and drop a D12 into the dice pool on that table.

Yep, drag dice to the table.

See Step #3 - Custom entry, here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/wiki/index.php/Tables#Table_Basics

I think the answer to the question you asked is no. You can't make a call to a table and specify the dice you want to use in the call. The call is to make a roll on the table only. So, as noted above, you'd need to edit the table being called to only roll a d12. Since this isn't particularly convenient I think the solution would need to be having multiple tables with different results if this is what you desire.

I'd suggest making a copy of the table and then set the die type for each copy.
