Hi ,
Is it possible to add a custom language or rename a current one in FG 5e? I have a home brew that npc uses a language that is not in the drop down dialog.

Thanx in advance ..

Trenloe,

I'd like to use your instructions to create a new sign language using a TTF such as an American Sign Language font https://www.lifeprint.com/asl101/pages-layout/gallaudettruetypefont.htm

I'm running FG 3.3.7a. Using the 5e ruleset.
I have downloaded your Fantasy Language Fonts.ext and your Language Chat.ext extensions - thank you for those!

I am not putting together how to edit the information to include my own font as you outlined.
Can you help shed some light on my mental darkness?

You need 3 steps:
1) Define the <font> within FG - definition here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/refdoc/font.xcp Look at the CoreRPG.pak ruleset for examples in graphics\graphics_fonts.xml
2) Once you've defined your font, then assign to the GameSystem.languagefonts table. See post #2 here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?26775-Expanded-Fantasy-Language-Fonts-(FG-v3-1-3-)
3) Then add it to the GameSystem.languages list - info in the same post as #2 above.

See the extension here as an example: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?26775-Expanded-Fantasy-Language-Fonts-(FG-v3-1-3-) The only difference is that the <font> definition will be slightly different using a TTF - which is step #1 above.
