Dark Galaxies Gaming Starfinder Stream

Dark Galaxies Gaming (https://www.twitch.tv/darkgalaxiesgaming) is currently running a Starfinder Stream with some of the better known RPG celebs. They are being sponsored by Paiso & Fantasy Grounds.
Erudi seems to know FG ok but is somewhat vague on the details (as any new GM to FG would be). Now while the game seems its gonna be cool FG is coming across as being a little hard to use.

It might pay if somepeople got themselves over to their game on the day and joined chat so they can provide tips.

"Hey Erudi you dont have to target the player's attacks for them; just get them to Cntrl Click the NPC they want to attack"

"You know if a player makes an attack without targeting the NPC you can just drag the attack onto the NPC from the Chat"

Etc


I just want FG to look good in a public forum...

ALready did in a tweet to him.
Just a bit worried he might think.. "Classes? I have to take classes to learn this software? You know I think I may continue to use Roll20 for my other games and "can" FG when this campaign is over"

Indeed it is annoying when someone uses FG is inefficient or bad way. Even worse when SW are sponsoring a streamer and they don’t even show properly the software and it’s capabilities.

Yea, I get it. So many folks these days think they should be able to "pick up" any piece of software and have everything "just intuitively work". There are debates in the UI world about it to. I'm not a fan of that U/X design, simple because their is no single solution that is intuitive for everyone. Second, many times an intuitive interface is not as capable as a UI that is tailored to function.

But, yea, some people are intimidated by the word "class". Maybe we should try to get Learun and the others at FGC to call them "workshops" or "expert led tutorials" or something.

I do like the sound of this more I must admit.

But still wish some FG people would pop in the chat (not just for this game) and give tips. Id do it and I may try but IM not that up to date with the starfinder ruleset

Especially as its a "sponsored" game by FG. Id would of thought Doug or Dave or someone might want to be in the chat, at least first game or so to keep an eye on things

My instinct tells me that Doug or John would not approach someone in public, but would instead provide any such feedback privately. So, unless one party or the other were to say something, we'll never know what support may be provided.

Not wanting to start a debate, but yes I agree. Automation and too much ‚intuitive work‘ make human beings more dumb IMHO.
Not only people seem not to search for documententation, or even read the manual, but when asking for advise and help being given, not even caring to read links to sources for help, either. Just my experience, though.

I work in an electronics store I get alot of younger people coming in asking for an AUX cable I like to pretend I dont understand them then go "OHHHhhh did you mean an Auxiliary Cable? " None of them know AUX is short for Auxiliary LOL

For them it isn't. It's a word in its own right.

Similar to the way most people don't know that bus is an abbreviation of Omnibus. Absolutely no one I know talks about getting the omnibus, to the point where omnibus is considered dated.
