Hi... Another noob question... should be the last, hopefully.

When I open ITEMS I see a way of filtering, but when I click on ARMOR in the ITEMS window that window does not filter...and...it shows like 4 entries of the same thing. I'm just grabbing the first one...but, I noticed when I drag from items to the sheet it does not deduct the cost from the treasure section. I put in 100 gp... Is this a manually thing that I have to do? Also, is there a STARTING EQUIPMENT button I could press that would fill in everything need for race / class...like D&D Beyond? Thanks again.

If you want to see the equipment list from only one book then either use the Group filter at the top of the items or navigate to the items via the Library for that book. Otherwise you will see multiples if you have multiple modules open.

Items do not deduct the gold cost automatically - for starting characters there is no gold to deduct anyway since you are assumed to own that equipment without cost. (Having said that there may be alternative rules somewhere that allows for this). If you want to have automatic cost deduction then there are a couple of things you can do. The first would be to use Dulux's Locations extension (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?20794-DOE-Locations-Extension) which allows for the creation of shops and automatically deducts coins for what you buy. The second is to create treasure parcels with negative gold amounts and drop that onto the character's portrait. When the player drags and drops the parcel into their inventory the coins will be deducted.

There is no starting equipment button. This would be way too much work for the reward since there is an almost infinite variation in starting equipment for each class.

I made a simple mod that has all of the SRD items prepped as parcels with the negative gold amounts, so to "buy" is just drag and drop. If that is something that would help you, you can get it on the thread https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?47586-5e-SRD-Working-Shop

I saw the filter button on the ITEMS page, but when you click on the button in the top of that window say for ARMOR, it doesn't have a filter. I like that window because it displays the cost of the item without having to open it for details. Thanks for your insights!

The buttons at the top of the campaign data windows are a fairly new addition - to present all of the campaign data in a nice formatted way. Originally this was only possible by hard coding the table in the individual product library data. Which is still there in a lot of products - go to the product in the library window, click the "Equipment" link and then select the subtype you want to see - it will open a detailed table containing just the data from that module.
