Character Recover from client after campaign data lost?

I borked up my steam for linux install. Without thinking I erased .steam, which is when I relearned that FG campaign data lived under there. Is there a way to recover the character data from the players? I can reload the module I was running and pick up where they left off. But I don't have character data.

Before they reconnect to your campaign, have them go to the Manage Characters section of the application, choose the name of your campaign, and click Start. Then, in the PC Selection screen, click on the edit button, then click export for each character they controlled. This will allow them to save their character to an XML file that they can email to you, and then you can re-import.

I would also suggest renaming your campaign slightly differently, so that they don't overwrite the saved campaign data from the last campaign by connecting to your new campaign.
