Hi. So, we use double damage on criticals, but how do i set that as the critical damage formula in fantasy grounds? Thanks in advance.

Any house rules that are supported will be listed in the Options window.

If the house rule is not supported by the ruleset as it is written (you don’t mention which system you are asking about); then an extension mod would need to be developed to implement that house rule.

HI EthnCasner, welcome to FG.

As Moon Wizard says you need to tell us what ruleset you are using. Many of them have critical damage written into the code and if you are not seeing this then that points to something not being done correctly.

Then in 5e double damage is automatically rolled after a critical hit. Make sure that the PC/NPC are properly placed on the Combat Tracker and on the map (drag onto CT then from CT onto map) and that the NPC/PC is properly targetted (CTRL+ left click to target a creature). Provided that is all done properly then when a 20 is rolled to hit this does critical damage when the damage roll is then made.

EthanCasner - If you meant that you wanted the damage to be doubled then that's not how 5e FG ruleset works from my understanding. It is as Zac stated. An extra damage dice is rolled after a critical excluding stat bonuses. (please correct me Zac if I am wrong :)

Critical damage in 5e means that all damage dice are rolled twice - thus you get double damage. So if you would normally roll 2d6 damage you get 4d6 on a critical.

Their is TheoGeeks's Improved Critical Extension. I use it. It adds the normal damage dice to a maximized damage pool. https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?34431-New-Extension-TheoGeek-s-Improved-Critical

If you wanted something different than that, I would start with modifying that extension.
