The default effect from the spell Magic Circle looks like this:

IFT: TYPE(aberration, celestial, elemental, fey, fiend, undead); GRANTDISATK; IMMUNE: charmed, frightened, possessed; [FIXED]

What does the [FIXED] tag mean/do?

It doesn't really do anything. There is a built in parser in Fantasy Grounds which tries to interpret what a spell or ability does and creates effects based on that. In some cases the wording is just too complex for FG to make any sense of what is going on so some spell effects are 'hard coded' into the system. The Magic Circle spell is one such spell and all the Fixed does is tell us that is what is happening.

It doesn't do anything. It should probably be changed to [AREA] or [ZONE] to indicate that the effect is only valid within the casting area, and is not tied to the creature that the effect was applied to.
