Hi,
I just bought FG and now I am trying to find my bearings... The main reason I bought the programme is because the group I am running a game of D&D for will no longer be able to meet in person so we want to move our campaign over to FG...
Since I like to invent and tweak things there are quite a few items and NPCs that wil need to create in order to have a somewhat smooth transition. So my question is how do you create custom things and how do you get them to work with the FG engine.
Simple example...
One character had a helmet custom made for her.
The helmet gives her +1 to AC but since it impairs her vision it also gives her disadvantage on perception checks.
So I have had a look at the Manual... and what I found was how to create items... and how to create effects... so I think I could make it so that there is an item that pretty much does nothing... and a power in the character sheet that gives the character +1 AC and disadvantage on perception. It would work as a crutch... but I would rather have to so the item actually has the effect on it.
