I have been using FG and running games online for over 2 years now. Everythings been working fine. Now players can't connect. What did I change. I uninstalled AVG and Windows Defender AV turned on for some unknown reason. OK Fine, added FG to exceptions. Still can't connect on test. Turned off Windows Defender completely and still can't connect. Checked router to verify 1802 still forwarded and to my PC on network. Yep OK there too. Suggestions, ideas?

Is there something funky between FG and Windows defender?

Zacchueus, you listening. Seems you can fix just about anything FG.

Thanks in advance

Two immediate possibilities come to mind;
1) is your network connection set to private? Windows updates are known to change this.
2) Did your ISP start consolidating IPs or switch you to IPv6? Post a tracert 8.8.8.8 here and someone can identify is this is the case.

Network connection set to public. Are you saying it should be private or is public correct? I ran a test connection before removing AVG and I connected just fine. Ran game Saturday just fine. Running trace but I really don't think that is the problem.

Thanks, fixed it. Forgot the Reboot part after changing settings.

You want it to be private. Windows will often block incoming connections on all public networks.

Glad you got things sorted. Happy gaming!
