Brand New but not getting anywhere

Hey all. Try to set this up, but before a launch into a campaign and its creation, I decided to go ahead and test connection first. Well, its telling me it aint working. "FAILURE"

How do I fix this?

I assume this failure is on the connection test?
Only DM/GMs need to be able to pass the connection test. So if you are only a player, you can ignore the test.

If you plan to host (be a DM or GM), ten you do need the connection test to work (in most situations) before players will be able to connect to your virtual table. Note that you can do all your prep work, learning and exploration while unable to pass the test, but you will want to make sure you have things working before you have remote players try to connect.

There are several threads on "Connection test" and "connection failure". They have good advice and tools for getting going. But, feel free to post back here if those don't make any sense.

I guess I'm a bit dense, but I don't really know what to do. These forum posts are not making much sense to me. Isn't there a step by step on how to get this done? I do plan on DMing. but I don't want to put in all the effort if I can not connect. Never had a problem connecting with any other product so I have no experience in this.

How do I log in to a Router? I can't find an explanation for that. I have the IP that is given to me by fantasy grounds, but just typing it into a webbrowser isn't doing anything.
