Can't get /act or /action to work

Hey everybody!

I'm just a player, but I can't seem to get action to work. When my GM does /a message, it works fine for him, but /action, /act, and /a all just write the command with nothing after it.

Is this a bug?

Here's an example...

if I type: /act walks across the room
I see: MyCharName: /act

Any ideas?

I dont know about / commands for action, but if you use the <ctrl> key when you hit enter you can do actions... also if you hold <ctrl> and <alt> together you can do emotes.

It's a bug of some type - whether the help list is wrong or the slash command is broken I don't know. I noticed the same thing as you. If you look at the / help in the chat window it says /action which does nothing.

As LordTomar said you need to press down the control key and hold it and then press return. It will give you the red action text. I personally find this kind of awkward so I often just use /e *shrug* they are both in red text anyway.

Is there any way to get bold text as a player, or is it always just red?

Bold text (I believe) is reserved for DM text blocks.
