I Connecting 30 min and i cant get in

I try to join a group but alter 30 min i am still connecting.

Hi Alifir welcome to FG.

How long it takes to connect and download the material depends on a number of factors, not least how much the DM has shared and how fast their and your connection speed is. It is also possible that something at your end is preventing things from happening such as your antivirus software or filters set on your router. If you are seeing the downloading screen and progress is being made then you will connect eventually.

We're going to need to know a little more. I assume;
- your GM has given you their external IP or alias?
- you have verified if your GM is using a password?
- you are not on the same network as your GM?
- other players can connect to your GM? They are also external to your GM's network?
- You've triple verified you have the connection information correct?
- is FG showing that you are connecting and it is still downloading files?
- - If so, your GM probably has too much shared or your network has engaged flood protection.

If you are on the same network then you should connect using the DMs internal IP address and not his external one. If you are not on the same network then you need his external IP address. I’m not clear if you are on the same network (that is you are in the same house or location as the DM or you are in a different location). Make sure you have the correct IP address. Your DM might also want to generate an alias for you to use rather than an IP address since the latter can change.
