Someone mention to me powerline network adaptors are just as good being connected to the router. Anyone tried this method?

I've tried VPNs and none of them were helpful. Tired Hamachi and there program was littered with all forms of malware and other nasty viruses.

I know this wasn't your question, but did you try zero tier? I've never used hamachi (and haven't heard any issues about malware with it), but I can confirm zero tier did not give me any issues. Interested in hearing about powerline network adapters too now...

Did you download it from the company's website?

Edit:
I just downloaded from the company's website (https://www.vpn.net/) and scanned it; no threats found.

Also, powerline adapters are notoriously slow, and they don't solve your problem of opening a port to the Internet.

Hamachi is owned by LogMeIn - a $4billion company - I have never seen malware or spyware or viruses in Hamachi.

Powerline adapters allow you to connect to other devices on your LAN at wire speed over the electrical cabling in your dwelling rather than network cabling or via Wifi.
It in no way changes whether port forwarding may or may not be required for your setup.

Sorry if I sound arrogant and upset.

I'll look into the program. It might be the solution I'm looking for.

Found the link on the thread and it could be possible I got traffic to the wrong site or something I did wrong.

Sounds good. Keep us posted. Just in case you didn't see it on the port forward alternative thread, here is a link to a youtube video I created for how to set up zero tier for FG. Its about 9 minutes long.

Thank you so much it works. Doesn't bog anything down and it's simple for my technologically challenged players to do.

Great to hear! And for anyone else coming to this thread, I have heard really good things about Hamachi and definitely think that is still a good option for folks as well. The good news is we have several options now when port forwarding becomes an issue! Game on! :)
