Tomb of Annihilation / Map Pins question

About to start Tomb of Annihilation.

It includes a player handout map with pins and a player handout map without pins.

If I shared the pinned map, do the players see the pins? Can they click them?

Only if you share the pins with the players. Right click on a pin for options.

Thanks. So it seems that the pinned version would be better because then I could see the shortcuts easily, yes?

But if I remember right, it'snot about the pins, but that one has the center are blanked out and the other doesn't.

You should not share the pins on the pinned map with your players since that will allow them to access the story entries and ultimately the entire adventure. There is one pin which is specifically linked to a Story entry called 'We are here' (see the Using this module in Fantasy Grounds story entry for details on how to use this).

I provided a number of different maps with ToA for the player and DM so that there were as many options as possible for how to run the exploration side of the adventure. Again see the Using this module in Fantasy Grounds for an explanation.
